I have a question on fuel. Can the 8 run the E85 fuel? What happens if you do??

Well if you read the pump where you get gas, you are currently getting a light form of E85 fuel. Look at the blend....... Now metallurgically alcohol and aluminum have a small problem if left immersed in the stuff but you do not keep the engine in a bucket of E85. Quite a few piston engines are now aluminum and suffer no ill effects from the alcohol in E85. Can we operate on the stuff? I see no reason why not if properly tuned for the fuel blend. There would have to be a study done to see which plugs would stand up to the abuse. There is currently, in Japan, several 8s using hydrogen as a fuel also.
