Just saw the note posted about BWW--there's one next to me (Flamingo/Haulipai). Sadly, their wings aren't that great and I'm watching my hour and a half glass figure (hey, I went to college in Buffalo so I know what a damn good wing is!).
Question re: stop and go driving in rising temps. Last summer, I sensed my car lacking some oooomph in the low rpms after driving stop and go for a bit. Once incident in particular was in August. I drove from work (Town Center in Summerlin) to Charleston/15 area for a doctor's appt. On the way back, the car started to have that lack of power feeling, and the idle was a bit rough. At one point, I thought the car was going to stall and it made a weird sound as I went through an intersection making a turn.
I got back to work and a couple of hours later, it didn't seem to have any problems. Today I had another similar experience, mainly with the lack of power--it just feels like it takes longer for the car to wind up and there's some minor hesitation. This happened on my way back to work from lunch, so I basically drove 6 miles home from Town Center/Haulipai to Flamingo Haulipia. It wasn't until on the way back around Sahara that I started to experience this.
I recently had the latest flash done and have about 18,500 miles on the car. Most of my driving seems to entail stop and go back and forth to work several times a day. On the way home from work today, no problems, so it appears to be something that occurs after driving 20+ minutes in stop and go traffic on warm days.
I know the car is under warranty (it's an '06/manual), but my concern is that she's a gonna fail this summer in the high temps if I do more stop and go driving (I hate them damn lights all up and down Haulipai, too--they need to be synchronized!). Anyway, has anybody experienced this phenom as well and was there anything done to remedy the situation, or, gasp, did it eventually lead to an engine replacement?
By the way, I had my A/C on both times this has occured, but I can't imagine it affecting the power that much.

Try different things every time you notice that happen and try to do things to make it happen.
Then note in your head or wright down so that way you can easily dublicate the problem. Makes it harder for mazda to try to wiggle out and say they can't duplicate and there fore there is nothing wrong.
Is why henderson mazda always does what I tell them too on my car. Cause when I say something it wrong. It is wrong and I can tell them exactly how to get the problem to rise its head.
I so love how cedric treats my car. :D

My tranny was leaking when I got my car. sent it in about 4 times. he tried saying it was oil. and that I caused it. He also got in my face, Like I know nothing about cars. Kept telling me what was wrong (like my car was a 4 banger) used the wrong parts. F^cker thought I knew nothing about cars, esp. my 8. Moron.
Ended up talking to corporate. filed a complaint. spoke with the head guy there at henderson. and got the ***** fired.
was a good day.
:D
so now they are very good to me. O and the leak got fixed. They busted it when they replaced the front headlights.

I just didn't know it's your car and that you already have them. How do you like them and do you have any bigger and close-up pictures?
