I agree it'd be better to arrange something a bit in advance this one will seem a bit rushed. I need to see what i'm working.

 

Everyone should post when they have off, and what times are good for them. That way we can see, what days are good for meets. I won't be attending any meets until I get my RX-8 back on the road. Ford just screwed me over, they don't wanna cover my engine with warranty. So, I'm gonna take it to another Ford, where my brother works and hopefully he can make something work. Besides that, Phil is coming over tomorrow and I'm gonna see if I can take some pictures and videos of his car.. Other than, hopefully everybody has a great weekend!

That's why Ford sucks, they are the worst service! I was ready to go down there tomorrow morning, until i was reminded that they are closed. Lucky bastards! Yeah it was painted mike. But i put it on wrong. So i managed to get it off with some goo gone and i'm going to take it to the body shop now for them to do. Pic's on tuesday. I'm so jealous of ppl who have set days off. I never do

Sorry, I didn't post a time Anthony earlier.. Phil, didn't stay for too long due to promising his wife that he'll take her out for breakfast. But, he let me take his 8 for a spin, and man i fell in love with that S/C. Very smooth, no lagging, and it's so quick. Like Phil said, it's like a whole different car, and it's true! Just freakin' amazing!! I got to take a quick cell phone picture of his S/C, it's a very clean setup! Also, it was was great to finally meet Phil in person, he's a great guy. It was very cool just to b.s. with someone about our 8's.

I've got a quick question for you guys here in Vegas: How often do you find yourself checking/refilling your oil? My car had 10,000 miles on it its first year, and I think I went through maybe 2 quarts while getting an oil change every 3,000-3,500 miles. 1,200 of those miles were road trips to San Diego, so it's not like I'm packing on the miles. I just went and checked the oil level since it's been a little over a month since the oil change, and it's still near full which prompted me to ask.

 

I check mine every other fill up…. It determines how hard I drive it. The harder I drive it, the more oil it uses. I use about a half a quart ever other fill up or so. I tend to drive it pretty hard. I also have 28K miles on a 2005. I hope that helps.

I am good to meet anytime. The more notice the better for me.

 

I'm sure the nay sayers will chime in, but you should consider premixing. If I understand the oiling concept, Mazda's design for oiling is lacking. It's just as hard on the seals with in-town driving as extended fwy runs but only during the extended runs are the seals getting enough oil (and that's if you had the last flash). If you interested look up the threads that deal with premixing and the oiling problems. There is more to it than that.

 

next saturday after 6pm should be gooood...since its night we'd probably only be able to meet and talk and stuff, not many places to drive after 6 unless we wanna get home real late or drive in the dark.

for the S/C...how much was the final price? just curious

that includes the s/c plus instal
