Hey I got fam out in West Covina!

 

Well my sister lives in Irvine, but she's got a houseful already w/the babies. She lives hella close to the Irvine Spectrum too.

 

Well... would it still be worth it to head out to SS from Vegas around noon on Saturday? or would i already miss out on the good stuff? I think this would be the only way i could swing going... for now.

 

That would be a little late. The party gets started (officially) at 9am and closes at 4pm. The banquet usually starts at 7pm until ?. The parties afterward continue all night. Actually the fun starts at 4am when the cars start lining up to get on property.

 

Yup 4am. Thats why I'm driving in Thursday morn. This way I can do my thing and sleep. Then get up at 3am be in line by 4am or 5am so we get a good spot for our car right up front

 

You'll be the only one out there Gil. I usually get there at 6:00am. And was 6th in line last year.

 

I'll have some doughnuts in the parking lot well I wait for the rest to show lol

Well if all the festivities are gonna be only on Saturday, then i guess it wouldn't be worth much to try and leave to go there late... I thought SS would be a weekend event -- Fri through Sun. I went to Rotary Revolution back in the midwest and thats what they did... Fri - meet & greet/car show, Sat - Auto-x/Drag, Sun - Track.

Maybe ima just check out the drifting event over here... i dunno.

Easy was on mountain time - the line usually start between 4 & 5 (heavy on the 5). Those guys from AZ think the world is on their time.

You'd better come. The pic opportunities are endless. All the race cars will be there also. Lov that sound when they pull them out of R&D and over to the viewing line.

Flip, keep in mind that this is a free event that is showoff time for all the rotary engined cars and for Mazda since it's held on Mazda North America Operations property with full support of Mazda. Everyone that is anyone in the rotary community will be there. Most of the important vendors will be represented there.

 

i have 2 interviews this week, if i get a new job im coming! at my current job i have no sick days or no vaca left thats why i nned to get this new job to come!
