me thinks i should perhaps hold a group session regarding proper stick use..haa

first step..grasp teh stick firmly and get comfertable with it in ur hand..notice the length of the shaft and thus how much effort will be required for proper engagement...

leg positioning is equally important..ur body must be in the right orientation to properly apply the correct technique to ensure smooth and repeated manipulation...

heh

LionZoo: don't fear the instant torque.
It's not the instant torque I fear so much as the lack of throttle modulation takes away a technique that is rather important in real driving. With the throttle characteristics of the K1 cars, there really is only one power-on point whereas the gas karts allow much more varied driving techniques.

Think of it as practice for 30 years from now when most cars will have electric motors.

I drove gas karts on Saturday with the Arizona crowd...was not impressed.
These karts are much better.

ima big fan of gas powered karts too..esp like the ones back at ironrock raceway in texas..they had to reconfigure the track after they noticed we were avg 40mph with some of us at 60mph..heh it was totally worth the broken thumbs and internal bleeding..

alas..K1 is the meh for meow..and at least its not nearly as hot since its indoors..heh

lionzoo should come so i can punk him like i did to teh mazda proboys..u beat me..u can complain all u want..haa haaa

There's a reason all serious racing karts are gas.

Of course they're also not available for rent here in the states; damn lawyers! I love the smell of two-strokes in the morning!

Indeed...however your wrong in that as long as you sign your life away...some tracks will let you try to kill yourself no problem...

I miss coming around a corner at 50 mph and seeing a pileup and getting those last few moments which feel like an eternity to think about how much your about to hurt...

Oh well...until we get out to D1, K1 is all we haz as an excuse to smack talk...

I make Tremblay tremble...that said...come get some...

Soon we will have to put twink's place at a default of 0. The person that comes after his default position will be deemed 1st.

i was hoping that we could do it this friday (too short notice though) or next friday because of the coupon. the 2 for 1 thing would be more incentive for people to go.

Friday would be very short notice for me, though I am considering coming back from the Bay Area tomorrow instead of Friday as originally planned. Next week I'll be in Long Island.

Yes I am a road warrior.
