.
Those seats are a big part of what makes it a Shinka. If you really don't like them, you should have no trouble finding somebody who'd be happy to swap regular seats or $$$ for them, then get what you want.

True enough. I like the seats themselves, well enough, just not the color. I am undecided still, if I should or not. Hmmm....

Was debating on getting the re-upholster to something like this, but matching the exterior paint for the red parts:

That could look VERY slick, but again I'd suggest working from a regular set of seats rather than the precious Shinka's. You shouldn't have much trouble finding somebody happy to swap you his 2-tone or all-black leather for what you have. Plus you'd only have to replace the colored sections of leather.

If you do go for it straight, and you can keep the Shinka covers intact, they might be worth something here or on eBay.

Good suggestions, thanks! Maybe I'll just get a whole different set off eBay and keep these stashed away, in case I resell or something. So, what's so special about the Shinka seats, besides the color and the "rotor" head trim? Or is that it?

That color was unique to the Shinka, but is now an available option. The center portions on the stock covers, though, are smooth leather rather than the perforated suede.

Not an 8, but some guy(early 20's?) in an old, nasty looking neon gave me the bird and I drove past him on Indian School. He took the lane to Grand Ave.

So this leaves me confused...I didn't cut him off, I didn't even notice him until he did what he did...

OOOOH riiiiight! Jealousy...

I can't wait! I drop it off tomorrow morning and I'll get it back at the end of the day. I decided to remove ALL of the rear ones, and I'm leaving the front one because it looks do desolate without it up there

Update...got rained out. The guy said we have to wait for the weather to clear up until we can debadge the car. I think I'm going to go for tint instead now. Anyone know good places? I'm going limo on the back, and rear doors. And 18% on the front doors. I know it's illegal...

And Jeff if you're watching this. My body guy said he definitely used the same paint, and that he's going to buff it out a little more. I said ok because he's putting forward to effort to right it. And if the finished product doesn't come out right, then I'm going to ask him to just repaint the whole bumper again.

Wow do you know how awesome that would be?? I believe I would be the fastest 8 on the road with that 454, on a straight line. Now in the twisties...that's humorously questionable.

Contact BLKSPEED6 over at AZMC (azmazdaclub dot com) Several of the members have had him do their tint and are quite satisfied.

Spotted Titanium Grey (I believe that was the color). We were both running west on Glendale. You let me merge in front of you after 7th street, and you ran with your fog lights on (+5). And we were bothing look at this:

Blue-J, where do you work around? I saw some around 24th Street and Camelback in the Wells Fargo parking lot.
