Anyone in the FLW / Scottsdale area? I spot a Ti almost every day on my commute.. Who are you!? I'm the guy in the Silver bastard with the big ol' smiley face on my drivers rear window

 

Alright today was a good day for spotting 8's. First, I spotted a VR on Glendale/Lincoln towards the I-51. It had an appearance package on it. ALSO I saw a VR on 40th St. & Cactus. I flashed my lights at you, but no response. I was turning north onto 40th.

 

I saw a black one awhile ago, very nice looking black one on chandler and about 42th, ahwatukee area.

im hoping to be a future local owner myself... anyone from around the ahwatukee area?

 

Bet that was MazdaManiac!!! We have members from all over the city(s). MM is in the Ahwatukee area.

There are two or three others in Ahwatukee - a red one, a yellow one and I think a Ti.
The red one is new. They have the full apearance package.
I see the yellow one all the time. I think they live down by Tim.

I spotted a...Nordic Green on 16th St. & Cameblack in the Circuit City Plaza around...2:15 (picture below). And I pulled up to a TiG with dark tint, and chromed stock wheels. Very nice, I think you acknowledged me. We were turning north onto the I-51 from Camelback...no picture...

 

Spotted a VR with the appearance package on Northern & Central

I spotted a BB last night around 5:45 South bound on 24th St. @ Indian School. Traffic did not allow me to get along side. Looked like a GT w/appearance package. Personalized plate LFG PST.

 

I've spotted a ton of 8's...and some will give me a nod or wave, yet they're never responding...arg! Sue, you have the best looking NG that exists, that's a fact

I spotted a titanium grey on the 101 near Scottsdale today. I drove by and gave him the thumbs up. He caught up to me and yelled "nice car" out the window.

Cool encounter. I dropped it into third and took off to give em a little show. I'm vain like that.

 

Scottsdale transplant here, myself. Just got here Wednesday night, myself. Black Cherry Shinka.

 

Spotted a white Rx8 on the 101 (I think southbound). I was in the Black Cherry Rx8.

 

Saw a TiG on Indial School & 28th st.

 

I come flying out to Bell or Greenway near there every day, but I drive a Winning Blue.

 

The red might be me. RCCAZ has spotted me a few times in that general area.

 

I think I saw you friday afternoon... frank lloyd wright and the 101.. heading southbound onto the freeway.

easiest way to spot me is the tint stripe on the windshield and this



on my rear driver side window. I've yet to have ANYONE respond to a wave or light flash yet.


Also.. who's got the Yellow 8 that commutes southbound on the 101 pima? I see you every morning and try to wink my hazards but i've yet to get a response.

 

Spotted a BB going East on Bell road and about 32nd.
Spotted a TG on Union Hills and the 51 going East.
Pulled up next to a TG on the East bound US60 and Val Vista.

I take Union Hills off the 51 almost every day. You'd have recognized if it were me though. Dang you were close to my hood!

 

Your rx-8 really made me fall in love with the car, but unfortunetly i cant afford one right now, insurance is too high. Opted for a 99 m3 instead, with 240hp it may or may not be faster than the rx-8 but it handles better from my test drives.

In all honesty though, they are both great cars and i do appreciate the rx-8... so unique, good looking, and special. Those rotary engines are pretty smooth running as well and overall they are great cars. I just couldnt tear myself away from my love - ive loved bmw M cars my whole life, and now I finally get to own one. If I had the money, an RX-8 would be parked in my garage, but for 12k the m3 was quite a steal. I may still post here occasionally, especially if any meets are going on - would love to see some modified 8s! Ive been lurking for awhile though, I dont see myself becoming too active... ahaha

If any of you RX-8 owners see me in my blue 99 m3 convertible with dark blue top, wave or flash your beams! Would definitely return the favor :P

 

The M3 is, IMO, the only fair comparison to the '8 in almost every way - as long as you like BMW styling (which I do, especially from the '99 vintage).

 

If anyone spots my car. Look away in horror. I was at a dealership looking for a car for my girlfriend. And we left and went to another dealership. Upon returning to my car, I found this. This ruined my month..and the month to come..This is the driver's side rear door
