I actually bought mine from the dealer I work at in large part because I didn't want to witness it sit on the front line and get flooded/joyridden

 

spotted a White RX-8 at NeptuneSpeed yesterday, looks like you were getting some work done. Yoshiya mentioned the motor had some aggressive street porting and that maf tubing definitely looked interesting.

Forgot the name of the street.

I was driving in Simi Valley earlier this morning and a guy in a GMC truck pulled up next to me and asked me what exhaust I was running. I told him I have an HKS and he tells me he has the Racing Beat exhaust on his 8. He really liked and complimented how well my setup sounded and I thanked him and he made left on Los Angeles Ave. and separated ways. The only person with an RX-8 from Simi that's on this forum is ZOOM I DO. Are you onhere?

Saw a series one VR with what appeared to be a carbon fiber hood northbound on the 101 coming out of Hollywood. I opted to exit and try my luck on Cahuenga. Bad choice. Traffic moved on and could never catch up to you.

 

2300: At the SoCal Valley 86 meet tonight, where the Scion below cracked it's oil pan, I finally was able to meet Jazzmeson. The Miatas and MS3s at the other(M.O.C.C.) meet were very good being much of an ******* so Jazz made no mistake of hitting up the FT-86s, instead.

 

I feel so bad for that FR-S, it's so clean too! It was good finally meeting you Grace, I'll definitely swing by again soon when I have another free evening. Nobody attend the MOCC meet on Balboa! The amount of disrespectful Mazda3/Miata owners that go there is unbelievable... Such a horrible first meet experience. FR-S/BRZ meet on Zelzah all all the way! Lol

the MOCC crowd is rather hit or miss.
I've met some good people in that group and others not so much.

 

Spotted a grey rx8 going down Warner and Bristol in Santa Ana. It was lowered and had had purple lug nuts. I was trying to say hi but you had tunnel vision...

 

There are hardly any 8s that go there, only when I casually stroll in-front of them on my way home from the FR-S meet. You made a point that they were nice and inviting a while back (at least three years ago), they surely became pretty obnoxious also, which is why they were told by management to move out of the lit area of the parking structure to the back parking lot of TARGET where there are hardly much or any lights.

Anyway, I spotted this WWP on drop springs parked when we went to Islands Burgers on Ventura BLVD in Sherman Oaks. Funny thing is that car has the Shinka interior, I am not aware or any Shinka models in a WWP exterior trim

 

Saw two yesterday; both on Riverside drive, a Phantom Blue(at 1000) and a Galaxy Grey(at 1350).

 

1435: another Phantom Blue on Van Nuys and Addison in Sherman Oaks' Papa John's and Yogurtland parking. I had my SS parked on the street. Sure the driver saw it on her way out the lot.

 

To the guy with the red rx-8 with black dipped wheels and badges: I go to your school and live down the street from you!

Why is it when you own a certain car, you just see a bunch of them after? I just picked up my first 8 and I just see a bunch of them now...

I saw a red rx8, with a black lip and some wheels on Saturday night at the annual Big Bang meet in Brea.

 

That's how it always is. Having owned upwards of 12 cars now... I see too many. I feel like that kid from the 6th sense.

 

Nah, its more like GTA. You can never find a lambo, then once you find it everyone else has it.

 

wish I could see the same. I've had my 8 since november and I can count the number of other 8s i've seen since I got it. it's less than 10 lol
