^I got to drive my friends impreza around for a week n' found out this is completely true. I've never been waved at (friendly waves) so much by other motorists in my life....Subie owners got it made...

 

So my best friend's stories are true then... Everytime I meet up with him, he always brings up the topic that another Subie owner waved or gave him a thumbs up while I'm sitting here being ignored by fellow RX-8 owners... Even modified ones. -_-

I have a Subaru WRX Wagon and I notice this as well. Even more so back east - I spent a couple years in the Boston area and pretty much every time I drove anywhere, someone would throw a "shocker" RX-7 owners usually at least nod!

 

I get the waves here and there if the drivers are dudes... Maybe one out of ten female drivers, at least a "WTH with a head turn". Only one senior guy in his 70s came up at a gas station and spoke to me because his other car is an RX-8, daily drives his PRIUS. And I had a starring contest with some guy in his FD last week at COSTCO.

 

Lol I get a lot of waves or a nod from subie drivers in the 8 lol. Something wrong when you get the "what's up" from other car types and the I'm gonna murder you in your sleep look from other 8 owners. I did get a wave the other night from a fellow 8 owner when I turned off La Sierra onto Blackburn. Was totally shocked guy even rolled down his window as soon as he saw me in prep for the wave.

 

Looks like it's time to go boxer.

Are you hinting for an FR-S/BRZ?

 

Lol, just messing around. If I really had the money right now though, I would definitely consider a more mod friendly car such as a 370Z or an STI sedan. I would much rather have a BRZ STI if it ever gets into production.

 

Went to my storage and found this old issue of OPTION Magazine.

 

Very Cool. I wish my car was stormy Blue.

 

Makes me like my car again.

0945: TiGrey on Colfax/Burbank in the Mobil Gas Station.



And a GG (with what looks like electric tape holding the OEM lip spoiler on both ends near the fog/oil air dam) on Woodley and Vanowen, gave you a when I turned into Balboa Park after Victory Blvd.

 

Saw a VR with the Mazdaspeed front, sides and rear (stock spoiler) going east on the 210 near the 605.

 

i anticipate seeing quite a few RX's this weekend... SEVENSTOCK here we come!!!

 

Ordinarily a single clean RX sighting will make my commute or morning.

And then I go to Sevenstock and see dozens of perfectly clean, well-kept stock specimens parked next to all kinds of outrageously gorgeous mod projects... and then I get overloaded and nothing short of a polished 3-rotor custom or Mazda race vehicle even budges the excitement needle by day's end.

Weird how that happens. I hope the effect wears off before tomorrow.

saw and talked to izzy for like a couple minutes when we lined up getting ready to go in. (i was the one who asked if you caravanned and that my tires got flat lol)

Thanks! Speaking of flats, mine is currently leaking air; I barely found out yesterday when my TPMS went on on the way to caravan. Glad it still had 15 PSI by the time I got there.

 

lol my tire had no air left Friday night at like 8pm. Americas Tire used the wrong grommet during tpms rebuild. I had to miss the caravan to get them to fix it. I was knocking on their door 30 min before opening hours so I could get on the freeway ASAP lol. I brought along a portable air pump too. If I'd knew I would've pumped it for you haha

There weren't any Sunlight Silver Shinkas produced. Likely a GT, if it had the side skirts, front lip spoiler, and/or spoiler; otherwise, a Sports.

 

it wasn't silver, it was more of a grey. i know they made shinkas in that color because i test drove one and almost bought it until it got sold while i was filling out the paperwork before I got my white one I'm still happy though :D
