Hi,

I live in Mountain View and I'm thinking about getting an RX-8. For those of you who live in the Bay Area, are there any particular dealers you'd recommend (or ones you recommend I avoid)? I've read bad reviews of a few of them, so I'd like to get some recommendations before I start looking. Thanks!

 

mazda of oakland has their 2004 rx-8s at $8000 of msrp now!. I just saw that on the SF chronicle. =)

Its good. Just stay away from Magnussens. I heard they like to smoke crack while on the job.

 

Yeah, I saw that guy's story about trying to get his glovebox fixed there. They sound awful. After searching through the archives here, it seems like Almaden is the most recommended and Menlo Mazda is the most hated. I'll probably check out Almaden and Oakland for starters. Now I just need to decide whether I'd rather get Velocity Red or Titanium Grey.

 

i have had excellent service at mazda of oakland. on the other hand...sales....try and avoid a guy named simon.

 

yeah...simon tse is a bit annoying. He talks waaaaaaaay too much. But I did get it from him. He gave me an *asian* hookup though.

 

Yea i got mine through simon also. He's the fleet manager so it's pretty hard to avoid the guy. Looks like uncle benny in lethal weapon 4. I agree he talks way too much, I was there for awhile. The guy still owes me dim sum.

 

Yhea stay away from Magnessun, they suxxors in Customer Service.
