Well, I'm talking about bringing the car in for a routine maintenance and getting it back with 20+ extra miles after an oil change. That's just joyriding and has nothing to do with actually testing anything.
Obviously, if some major work was done (like in your case), a test drive with 23 miles would be fine.

If your service sucks, you DESERVE to be called out and publicly spanked. So if Samsonite or anyone else has problems with the service at Galpin SVC, they deserve to get their asses kicked.

I have had a great experience with Galpin in Van Nuys. Scott was the feller I dealt with and he was an absolute gent.

very true. i had minor complaints about SCV, in fact my only real complaint was that one of the service advisors/managers knew less about the car than we did. I was reffering to the TSBs most of us are aware of. And being charged to find out why my steering wheels was rattling. What made me mad was them printing what i've said on the boards and highlighting my comments. Then telling me "just to let you know, we do read these things." Was i supposed to hold my tounge next time I have bad service? This is a forum to express opinions, and when i think i had pretty bad service, or I think one of the people working on my car isn't very knowledgeable I'd like to be able to say it. Since you are reading these posts, you might wanna work on your customer service/people skills.

On a side note, I have no problems with Galpin Mazda in Van Nuys. Scott and Sam are good people and it's a pleasure dealing with them.

I would go to the Van Nuys dealership but I think I am black listed at Galpin. Not that I care now anyway.

Geez, what happened to the old adage "The customer is always right?"

I think if a customer had UNREASONABLE demands, I would side with the vendor. But it seems like Galpin SVC just simply does not care for its customers.

Maybe we should send a petition to Mazda to fix their shitty service? I've noticed that its not just Galpin SVC that gets a ton of complaints. When I had a Toyota, I always received stellar service wherever I went. Why don't we get that from Mazda?

I had the other issues addressed at the dealer in TO by my office. The two outstanding items were the tires and dent. They are addressing the dent and the tires now.

We did not discuss the posts but I suspect the Service Manager does not know. I suspect it was just Jason.

I will mention it to the Service Manager if it happens to me or anyone else.

If Jason does not want things said about him, then he needs to address the fact that if everyone is against him, then everyone is not the issue, it's him.

For now, I guess. We will see after I get the dent fix and the tires installed. I am also getting my 30k service so we will see how that goes.
