So I finally saw another 8 on the road. Actually, it was a pretty got red one parked by El Pollo Loco in Reseda around 8PM tonight. Anyone from this forum?

 

I've been seeing them more frequently. 3 days ago a black one coming out of Oceanside on I5, then the next day a red one going into Oceanside on I5...each time I was going the other way on I5, so it was a quick glimpse. Then yesterday I saw a yellow one near 805 & 163 in SD, again I was going the oppo way. Today I'm humming along and I spy in my left mirror a black one about 2 car lengths back. At the next light we were able to maneuver close enough to talk.

They all look great!

 

Outside of seeing forum members at designated events, I have seen a yellow one twice. He is obviously one of my neighbors since both times it has been within a block of my house. But that is it!

...although I do remember chasing a blue 8 with a YALE sticker in the back window all over the place trying to help him find the Tustin #2 meet...

 

I've had the 8 for a month and still have not seen one on the road. I have only seen them at bolsa chica bbq and tusin 2 meet. We should meet in tustin next month

 

That blue one must have had a turbo since you couldn't catch him.:D

Other than the Tustin meets, I've only seen one on the road since I got mine, and I just saw it this past Sunday. It was a blue one and it was a couple of miles from where I live. I'm really surprised I haven't seen more by now!

I'm all for having more meets on a semi-regular basis -- it was nice meeting other owners and seeing all the cars! By the next meet, I should have my clear side markers and window tinting done. I'm voting for Orange County, though (sorry Napboy! ).

 

I am not into breaking speed laws just to get someone headed right direction.

But I'll catch him next time he's in my part of town

 

We need to do a drive. I totally enjoyed my time with the boyz in San Diego. It's more fun than standing around in the sun.

 

Bern, as we left our little meet we all agreed we would see each other there. The 8's will be well represented there. Hopefully everyone's HP concerns will be addressed BEFORE the event, otherwise things could be very nasty for the Mazda rep's in attendance.

 

Nappy, I'm all for an L.A. meet. You can name the date and place. Let's just not try to compete with the Sevenstock weekend.

 

I am new here. I live in San Diego(transplant from New Jersey). I have had My RX-8 since Feb of this year. I have not seen many of them on the road here in San Diego, but I am interested in meeting more people with this spectacular car.
