Anyone recommend a dealer with a good service area for the 8? I have called Valencia, Westlake and Van Nuys dealership with a question about a squeal sound at 7-8500 RPM, and all of them reply with "Why such high RPM or its the engine begging for mercy" which tells me they have no clue what they are talking about

 

try HB Mazda.
The mechanics told me last time that they think high rpm's are good for the rx8.

 

Galpin Mazda has been excellent to me. Tustin Mazda was pretty good, but wanted to charge me $100 to check a CEL. Luckily, Galpin took care of this free of charge

 

galpin mazda is okay, it just depends on who handles your problem. there is one service manager there that annoys me.
