Hey

Just wanted to let you all know that the central valley has jump started meets. We had a successful turnout on the 25th of June 2011 (was a little more organized than in previous times).



I believe most gathering locations will vary month to month in these areas

Visalia, Fresno, Hanford, and Selma (centralized location for all 3)



If anybody's interested in coming and showing up, the next one is coming up in about 2-3 weeks in Visalia. By all means suggest and put some opinions out there. And collectively we should decide.

Yeah that true. If your willing to go to like Madera/stockton or futher up they did like central valley meets there like 2 years ago. Had about 15-20 Rx8s together.

Yea I read up on some of those a few months back. Funny how they were considered the valley that close to the bay lol. As far I searched the line cut off right around modesto/stockton but like i said that's basically bay territory. I know there's about 6 8's around here but well they're all in hiding or dont visit the forums much but well honestly I half heartily believed anything would even begin to light up here. 3 months and 12-13 people off and on later its something. It's not much but we just started and at least it's doing what I wanted, get a couple of the rotor heads in the area together and talk cars thats all that really matters in the end

Eye to eye on this bro, I've been trying to get something started for a long time now and I'm glad that it's growing, even if it is slowly, gives us a chance to know each other as we grow. Got the FD sputtering earlier today but have not got it to idle yet. I must have set the Haltech to a security setting or something. Got hope for it though.

I saw a red 8 out yesterday that parked next to me and snapping pics. Got to talk to him a little only to find out he knows very little out the 8... Sadly in fresno I've seen either non enthusiast or have very little knowledge.

Yea I hear you on that. For the most part any 8 I see in fresno is either white or grey driven by a mid 30-40 house wife. I think once I saw a silver by the center with an exhaust revving around a lowered black one with the appearance package a yellow with a speed wing and once another grey with a speed front end. I know my buddy has a red one and there's another red one I saw with a hello kitty on the gas door.
I know theres plenty of 8's around here but either 1. getting to talk to them without getting a random dirty look or 2. actually holding a decent car conversation with them is scarce to none

Well if not this month, next month there may finally be some 8s around here lol. A small group(hopefully) of rotaries will be trekking up from bako 2 8s included. Theres 2 others I know I'm still trying to coax and 2 in my town that want nothing to do with me but I guess it comes with the territory haha.

Btw wind, was that 8 you saw fresh off the dealer? I drove with one that didnt have plates just a selma auto mall placard. Couldnt care less I was even around lol

No it was an '04 sport model. Had a sticker on the top passenger side of the windshield like some of those jdm guys. He said it was his girlfriends and he races people with it.

He'll even my neighbor has a purple shrinka and she could careless about me lol

Btw when and where is the Fresno meet? I'll try to get a day off.

Time to spit some info, so sept may be the best meet yet so any and all from the southern little towns(Lemoore, Porterville, and even Bakersfield) are welcome to either come or follow others that may be coming. I know theres a few that may show up from those areas but scheduling is never sure for anyone so we'll see. Finally there will be more 8's other than me, 3 would make my day, 4 would be awesome and 5 is the dream lol. As for where, its going to be in Tulare, exact locations probably wont be finalized for about a week or so, and date is going to be on the 17th at the usual time around 7. Anyways if you know anyone or even seen a rotary in any areas around here bring them here never know whos around these parts sometimes.

Subscribed, can't make that meet, ill be having Mariachi over but I'm thw type of person that likes to meet new people from the forum, not just local. Its only 3 hours away from me. I know for a fact there's a couple Fds, & Rx8s at the Leemore NAS when I was working there or in that area.
