Best Dealer, west end of Inland Emprire? Also service prices?
Hi folks:
I am thinking about picking up a new RX-8 and doing some research (hopefully a leftover '06 in a couple of months).
Are there any good service departments on the west end of the Inland Empire? Locally, I know of Romero to the east and the dealer out in West Covina off of the 10 fwy to the west with one in Claremont in the middle. Any good dealers in this general region (between 605 fwy and 15 fwy) you guys recommend?
A quick search on this site showed some customers of Romero but none of the others were mentioned. Would Romero be my best bet?
(BTW I am willing to travel a little bit further for good service dept.!)
Also, what sort of prices should I budget for service? (major, minor, etc)
Thanks!

Romero - had some good service with them but i know others who have had bad service. Bought one of our cars there. They have been ok with me so far. but keep asking around.
Claremont - no real experiance with them except that they have service on saturday by appointment only and they are a Mazdaspeed dealer.
minor service (oil change) $15-25 major, havent made that step yet.

I got mine from Romero. I was originally going to go to Claremont to check them out, but we couldn't find the dealership. I guess it's between Toyota and Ford, but it must have been small, because I didn't see it. I had a good experience with Romero. They had what I wanted in stock (an RX-8 without leather, ick). And the sales guy wasn't too pushy. They helped me find what I wanted, but didn't pressure me into driving it. I didn't buy it the first time I walked in there, I went back the next day. Their service seems easy too. They had me come in for a 2 week check up pampering session, or something like that, where they replaced the sparkplugs and did a final quality inspection. When I got there and told the service manager that I had to be to work, he squeezed me in before someone else instead of having me wait for 2+ hours. It took 45 minutes and I was out of there. On the con side of things, dress light if you go when it's sunny out. The sun blaring through the big front glass windows over-powers the A/C in the main area while you're signing paper work.
The only other Mazda dealer I know of in the area is in the Duarte/Monrovia area, right off the 210 around Myrtle. Assael is the name. Information via google results. The 2nd result is "Assael Mazda sucks" so I don't know what to say about that. =/ It's not exactly in the "west end" of the IE, but it's not too far of a drive down the 210.
hope that info helps at least a little.

we have bought two 8's from Romero. I haven't had anything negative to say about them.....yet. But there are those who have some choice words for that dealership. They haven't turned me away with their service yet. On the other hand, Puente Hills Mazda lost me as a customer when they dented my rear wheel well to heck and blamed it on me.....
sales:
romero's sales is sneaky
service:
DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ROMERO MOTORS FOR REPAIR all they are going to do is damage your car significantly, repair the problems, and want to give it back to you... the way the company is run is stupid. do not do business with them.
i've heard clairemont is okay.
just dont to business with romero.
