I see what you are talking about, but you have to understand that I am not firm on all my prices... Reasonable offers are accepted. Also if you recheck my prices... They are not only 20% off from brand new (More like 30-40% off). By what you are saying... I should maybe sell my stuff at 50-70% off (might as well give it away for free...) I am also not in a rush to sell as I have not made up my mind yet on which car I will be getting for my next project. It also depends on what you are selling, some parts will always hold a better resale value than others. Remember you have to look at rarity, popularity, and where it was originated. You can get the same part which is brand new from the manufacturer, but why pay more for something that will work exactly the same, look the same, and last just as long... And you said you are trying to sell racing brake rotors... Aren't you marketing toward the racing/track crowd? And from the way I see it... There is a small number of members on this forum who actually races. So maybe thats why you are having a hardtime selling them... Those are the items I was familar with. The other cosmetic stuff I have never been in the market for nor do they depreciate very fast. My racing brake 1 piece rotors are not only a racing item. Street cars run them more then the track guys. Most track guys like the 2-piece rotors. I am also not in a hurry to sell my rotors. I am asking about 20% off for the 1 piece that have less then 1K miles on them. 40% off the 2-piece rotors that have about 10K miles on them. for my price on the 2-piece a buyer could replace the rings and still be about the same price as buying new. The fast is, most RX8 owners these days are cheep. Partialy because the average age of the owner has gone down but mostly because the value of our cars has gone way down due to the high price of gas and reliabilty issues. People just dont have money to spend on mods and when they do they want a bargin or they do cosmetic (rice mods) that look fast but dont do anything for performance. JDM fake or real CF body pieces look a lot faster then 2-piece brake rotors and they are usually much cheaper. So thats what sales. Anyways, good luck with your sale.
