It is a bolt-on with no drilling required.

 

No, he means the factory front lip. It took me about an hour total. 6 holes to drill out, there are crosshairs inside the bumper that show where to drill. Just mask the exit hole and drill away. if your lip isn't pre-taped, get some good automotive double sided tape. When I did mine, the ends didn't stick too well, I would have made the tape there 1/2" wide instead of just the 1/4".

 

I'm not sure I'd want to drill into my nose. However, a Mazdaspeed nose costs so much... (I'm looking for extra cooling in case you're wondering.)

 

It's easy to do, and you'll never end up taking it off anyway. Extra cooling with the front air dam? Now... how is that going to work? Hey with all the money you are saving moving down there, just get the MS front.

I kind of want to have the flexibility to take it off. Extra cooling comes from the fact that the air dam hangs lower and creates a low pressure region behind it. This low pressure region forces more air through the radiator and oil cooler openings to fill the air that is no longer coming underneath the car's nose.

 

Hm... I really didn't see a way of installing it and to be abale to remove when you want. it depends too much onthe 6 bolts and the double-sided tape to hold it on.
