Hey, so I'm kinda thinking about buying the Typhoon intake over in the FS forums.
$150 ain't bad, but I'm wondering how much it would actually help my car.

From what I heard it won't add any noticable performance at all, just a more aggressive sound. Doesn't seem these little rotaries like boltons to much.

it adds some slight top end and a lot of noise. I had it, but I got tired of the sound.

Rotarys are like every other engine, but when the manufacturer almost maxes out N/A performance from factory, there isn't much room to grow.

Ahh thank you.

I may just go w/ an aftermarket exhaust then, something to deepen the sound a little.

I'm a fan of the 2 exhausts tho.

Not a fan of the single exhaust look on the 8.

He wouldn't want to get that if he just wants to deepen it a little. That thing is pretty agressive.

Hey, I just saw a yellow RX-8 w/ a MSpeed spoiler and a gigantic Pikachu sticker on the hood. Going on the 880 north.

I think this is a dude on the forums. I read about it a while back.
Nice looking car, I so want a MSpeed spoiler.

It was PURNRG then, unless his wife looks like a asian dude.
I honked at him and waved.

I didn't get to hear the BOV, we were both in traffic but I was lucky and had a dude w/ me so I was in the carpool lane.

Good looking car, given I might not have gone w/ the Pikachu on the hood but I'd kill for that spoiler.

That statement might be more true than you realize--the front bumper is JDM and doesn't have the black bar that goes across the top half of the grill.

Alas, no BOV fun for me right now--I just installed Moton Club Sport shocks and going through the break-in period before getting them corner-weighted. Although I may end up removing and reinstalling the rear shocks in order to add helper springs.

haha, I was just so excited to see another RX-8

Where'd you get the MS spoiler? I'm definitely in the market for one... just trying to find a decent price.

Sorry, no decent price the way I bought it. I bought mine before they started offering them stateside, so it was a custom order in Japan, then air-freighted over here. Going to a dealership would be cheaper than the route I took.

I think I might be a Hayward Mazda convert. They were very nice, the final judgement will be after I get my new shifter installed.

LionZoo had a smell from his gearbox, he went there to get it fixed. See, I wouldn't lead you guys wrong.

Dontfeedthenerd, if you are looking for the MS spoiler, either talk to Lazi, or buy one from, finishlineperformance, they sell the primered and ready to paint.

Who's going to be able to make it out on Friday? I'll be there and I know Adam will be there showing off his new "mod". Hopefully I will be able to install the front springs before Friday.

I'm getting a replacement stock shifter. They're also ordering a new leather shift boot for me. Every other week for me, and this week is the other week.

So apparently the Firestone lifetime alignment thing is only to put it within the manufacturer's recommended spec. Obviously that won't work for me as I want the car at a perfectly tight spec. Anyone care to comment?

I'm sure they won't be very happy when I come in asking for a 0.2 degree camber change up front.
