ok, so I still need to get better at using this camera (should have used a tripod for this pic), and I need to get a photobucket account or something but here is a resized image of my new rims with my new camera
Let me know what you think
*came out even more blurry when I resized it*

245/40/18 - Goodyear Eagle GT's
Because they are stretched so much I didnt want to go lower than a 40 sidewall, the GT's sidewalls look a little beefier than say a Nitto or a Toyo because of the extra lip protection designed on the tire
Plus thats just a crappy picture , and these are the same tires off of my old rims

hey you guys, I just discovered this Norcal thread! I'm actually a Miata owner from the Bay Area, but I've started hanging out with RX-8 guys since I came to New York for school because I can't find any other Miata folk to chill with.
I noticed you talking about meets and events and thought maybe I could help you out a little. I have a really tight crew of car people at home, and we have weekly meets, in addition to regular drives which will definitely challenge your skills in the twisties, tech days, and caravans to autocrosses and track days. It's primarily Miatas there, but there are a few folks with RX-8s who sometimes bring them out (are you guys on this forum too, neofreak, latinkings49, EunosPizzaBoy, and MartinezA92?), and the group welcomes car enthusiasts of any sort, but especially those within the Mazda family.
Anyway, if you'd like to check out what's going on around the Bay Area, here's a link to the events forum:

The info for the weekly meets is in the Recurring GTGs sticky up toward the top. Hope to see some of you guys there the next time I'm home!
