Have any of you tried the new Internet Explorer 8 yet?

I know it is in beta, but what do you think?

Have you managed to check the front and rear housing vacuum levels at idle, independently?

Yo... I was thinking of having a saturday meet for the opening of Iron Man. I propose that we meet up in San Francisco, meet up at my office for FREE parking, trot down to Pier 39 for some good eats, take the trolly to the IMAX theater and finish up with some dinner downtown.

There is a non-zero chance that my problem might be a fried coil (see attached pic). That is seriously fouled!

There wasn't a big difference in how the car runs with that spark plug wire plugged in versus unplugged. After I scraped off some of the crud, it runs a tiny bit better and is drawing a bit more vacuum.

What I don't understand is how it could fail suddenly?

Sounds like fun. It is something different than what we normally do as a group. Variety is the spice of life.

It comes out on May 2nd as you know.

We should buy the tickets ahead of time. I can imagine the movie will be sold out.

Maybe there might be a sneak preview/special showing?

are you just going to get a new stock coil or the MSD LS2 upgrade or maybe even the mazsport kit? Okada Plasma coils?

Fe Man! One of the better songs from Black Sabbath. Dunno, IMAX gives me motion sickness.

It is too early. I agree. Usually I just buy tickets on the day I go to the movie theater.

We do have time to plan something like the place to eat. Maybe reservations too.

I bought replacement coils from Rosenthal since I am really strapped for cash right now.

If this does the trick, I am going to sell my baby (sniffle) before my wife flays me.

It's a 2004 but only 20k miles and clean (well, OK, a few dings and paint chips) so hopefully I'll find someone local who wants an RX-8 with torque.

The hallucinatory 'prive sale' price on Kelly Blue Book is $18.1k. As if! Who would buy a stock 2004 RX-8 for $18.1k? That's just stupid since you can get a brand new one for $25k every spring when they have to deeply discount them to get them off the lot.

The list price on mine was $33.6k & I got it for $25k in early 2005.

Tint ticket for me.

Pissed me the **** off because the cop camped out at my car. No ******* joke.

He was a bike cop, I parked decently far away from the Safeway. Walked my **** to the car, put it in, noticed him sitting on his bike kind of looking at me.

I go put the cart away, he fires up his bike and starts circling around the parking lot.

I get in, immediately windows down, lights on, radio off.

Pull out, real slow, he follows me. I consider just looping back parking again and then going back into safeway or something. But I figure, no ******* way a cop would just WAIT for me would he?

As soon as I exit the parking lot. Lights come on.. I pull over, he comes over.

Cites me for tint.

I'm ******* pissed, maybe a little less about the fact I got a ticket but more the reason why I got a ticket.

If I were pulling wheelies or speeding or doing stupid **** then fine, I accept I fucked up and I was putting lives at risk.

I got pulled over for a goddamn tint that isn't that dark to begin with. I knew the risks when I put my tint on so in the end it is my fault. But goddamn it, it's not that dark, it keeps my car cooler and you can totally see me.

I'm pissed that a cop has nothing else better to do than to wait for me in a goddamn parking lot. Given he wasn't a bitch about it, and probably could've ticketed me for my clear corners, and my lack of a front license plate but goddamn.

Just a bad end to a bad day.
