If you have a lift, I hate you guys. I've been doing all the work on my car in Pepboys' parking lot with my scissor jack and jackstands. I drive into the parking lot, jack it up, and crawl underneath. If I ever need anything, I run into Pepboys to buy it.

It "works." It doesn't mean I like it or that it's convenient, but I don't want anyone else working on my car if I can possibly do it myself, so I go to Pepboys and work in their lot.

lol see hanging out with old farts like me has its advantages. Means we have friends that are older and established, with lifts. LOL We have a lift, air tools and much more. My friend is a bit paranoid so he doesn't want a lot of people around his shop. Somone broke in and stole all his stuff a couple years ago and he has finally got tools again. Jack ***'s I tell you.

LionZoo,
Dude. At least you got jackstands! I have to pay out the a$$ to some gorilla handed mechanic to beat away at my car while I watch helplessly.

Slip,
I'm considered, by some, to be "older and established" yet I still don't have cool power or pneumatic tools and a lift!

Anyone in the SF Bay Area,
I'm wanting to get my new shocks installed by this weekend or maybe as early as Friday or Thursday night. Originally, I'm planning to take my car in to Wheelworks or something but if anyone wants to help and has the tools and know how to do so I'd, certainly, make it worth their time/effort?

do you have a garage? I have my ae86 sittin' in my garage waiting for a rotary swap. I can bring my jack/stands/tools if you can provide the work area.

I just finished washing my car. In the dark in an unlighted carport without running water. Go rinseless carwash!

im ******* tired

No energy to wash the ride, maybe ill take off early tomorrow so i can clean er' up

the death of guitarjunkie is kind of getting to me, I didnt know him very well, but i read alot of his posts and saw alot of his builds and he was one of the first to port a renesis....

Just a big loss to the rotary community, he was definatly one of the elite of rotary builders

Never heard anything but good things about the guy

sorry if i ruined the mood, just feel like sharing whats on my mind

see you guys tomorrow
