Which Bay Area dealers are actually...

Letting people test drive the damn 8!!! And I mean with NO FREAKIN STRINGS attached!!! I just wanna feel what it's like... oh and beat on it like a drum but that's besides the point... sorta... but it's gotta be expected!!!

But in all seriousness I just wanna take one for a leisurely drive.

OakTree Mazda on Steven's Creek (South Bay) has an automatic demo model, which they let me drive with no strings attached. I wound up buying a manual from San Luis Obispo, but the automatic was FUN!

Magnussen's Mazda in Fremont has both an automatic and a manual available for test drives. Or at least they did last week... Anyway, my husband and I test drove there and it was a hassle-free experience.

They have been giving test drives at Putnam Burlingame.

Diablo Mazda in walnut creek has had a demo for about 2 weeks.

The first time I went to the dealer, I drove it, said thank you, then left.
I went back the next week and ordered.

The guy at Magnussen's mazda in Fremont let me test drive the car without the dealer in it. I took it up to the freway and went 90+ for a bit, took some turns, and basically did stuff that I wouldn't do in my new car.... Anyways, got back to the dealership with a smile on my face. Ordered the car I wanted and within a month the car is in my driveway. Can't be any happier.

Talk to David Agnon there, he is a fleet manager there and he'll treat you right. Got mine for MSRP without any hassles.

Good luck =-]
