Just saw the activity here. I won't be able to make it for the drive on Sunday... I hope you all have a great time. Take pictures. Hope to make it next time.

However, I am going to try and make it to the HIN event tomorrow night. I want to see the face-off Vivid-vs-Mac. I know where my vote will be.

Hey looking for some advice... just found some money from a recent patent award. Let's say 1k +/- . What advice do I hear for car mods. I'm thinking new sway bars... maybe springs too. Any thoughts from those of you that have played this game??? Pros... Cons... etc. Thanks

One more bump for the AZRX8'ers. Redjetpack have we arranged a meeting place yet or do we need to call you when we're getting close? I've got your cell # from the list BoxCar sent out.

here are the phx freeway closures for your drive, some mod deleted my closures post (and others?) so i'm not posting weekly anymore.

Watch out for weekend freeway closures in the Phoenix area (Oct. 14-17)

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid freeway closures needed for improvement projects this weekend (Oct. 14-17). The following restrictions will be in place:

· The southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) in the West Valley will be closed between Glendale Avenue and Indian School Road from 4 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 17) while crews resurface the freeway with quieter rubberized asphalt. Through traffic can exit the freeway at Northern or Glendale avenues and go south on 99th Avenue before returning to the Loop 101 beyond the closure at Indian School Road. Here’s a special alert: Southbound Loop 101 drivers heading to events at Glendale Arena, including Saturday night’s Coyotes-Red Wings game, are encouraged to exit the freeway at Olive Avenue and use southbound 91st Avenue to reach the arena.

· Eastbound Interstate 10 will be closed between 16th and Washington streets (east of the Deck Park Tunnel) from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 15). Crews will be replacing overhead signs along the freeway. Eastbound I-10 traffic will exit the freeway at 16th St., go south on 16th St. to eastbound Jefferson Street to return to I-10. Eastbound I-10 drivers also should consider using southbound I-17 (at the Stack interchange) as an alternate route to avoid the closure. The eastbound I-10 ramps to northbound State Route 51 and eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) also will be closed. Drivers who normally use those ramps are encouraged to exit eastbound I-10 ahead of the closure at 16th St. (at 7th Ave. or 7th St.), go north and use eastbound McDowell Road as an alternate route to reach SR 51 or connect with the Loop 202 via 24th Street.

· Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed at US 60 (Superstition Freeway) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday nights (Oct. 16-19) for overhead sign installation work. Westbound I-10 traffic will be detoured to eastbound US 60, exit at Rural Road and turn around at the interchange to use westbound US 60 to reconnect with I-10. Drivers also are encouraged to exit ahead of US 60 and use other alternate routes to travel beyond the closure.

Thanks for the pics 09 and wife That same traffic was present at 7:30pm. It was crazy.

To all who attended -

Today didn't exactly turn out as planned but it was definately a hell of a lot of fun! It was great seeing you all again and I'm glad I had a chance to finally introduce Erin to some of the people I come home talking about. I had a conv. with AZ about not knowing what to expect when I joined this forum and met up with club for the first time. Well I can definately say you're not a bunch of street racing punks and I have had way more fun then I ever expected. It's been a blast for sure and hope it stays like this for the many years to come. Great bunch of guys and girls here and I hope to see you all again soon.

I echo all that! GREAT to have the ladies come out join us. Poor Carol (Frank & Carol, aka Urchin, the black 8 today) is usually the only significant other at the driving events so Karen, GREAT to see you! Erin - totally awesome to meet you girl! Finally? And of all things, I forgot to congratulate you on your engagement

Mary - glad to see you again and SO glad you came on todays drive! And Chris's significant other but I can't remember her name for nuthin. You are all great ladies and were really good sports on a really long fun day. Me thinks Carol is going to need her own 8 someday...but I'll have to let her come to that conclusion on her own Swtblnde you are a ball of fun! I can't wait to drive with you at the next meet.

We had more women come today than any other event I've been to so I thank you ALL and personally I hope you'll come and play more often!

09Factor - I forgot to show you my new rotary shaped stereo ****. I'm going to email you the info on those puddle lights we were talking about. GREAT pics already posted by the way (and thanks to Karen for taking the majority of them) and while you did the right thing getting home WAY before us, you missed our first-time ever :D :D :D NIGHT TIME TWISTIES :D :D :D

Carol and I had fun too. It was interesting driving Mingus Mountain in the dark with very little traffic. Maybe we should plan a midnight run sometime when there should be no traffic..

I thought it was a great trip too!

Driving down Mingus in the dark was much easier when you don't see the space below you!

But we had a LeBaron pop up in front of us (from where?) and that slowed us until they got tired of our lights in their rear view....

But I repeat, it was great until I-17....

Redjet - the 29th is already in the RCCAZ books so looks like you and I are both gonna miss out. Bigger bummer for you since it migrates through your neck of the woods 'eh?

Jeffe - GREAT shots you've got there! Oh man cars really do show up out of nowhere don't they? I know it was a long day, way longer than we'd anticipated. I forgot to mention to you I saw that nifty right turn lane SUV avoidance move you made (the idiot hanging out the passenger window, and the driver trying to push his way from the left hand passing lane to a right hand turn lane ) Anyhow I saw that in my rear view - Boxcar was between us. Nice drivin there sport!

Swtblnde - Hunny you were right up there with the big boys so I dunno what these 'noob' references are all about. You're a pro Miss ex-2nd gen owner!

09Factor...uh...yah...guilty 1-handed picture taking. Bad pool, BAD!!

I don't see any South Mountain drives in the next couple months. It's nice that it's still in the Valley and hopefully lots of folks can make it. It's a fun little drive with lots of stops and picture taking.

Let's do it! South Mountain cruise anyone? I loved the weekday idea some folks were throwing out there too. I've got accrued vacation and I ain't skeered to take it :D

Abbid - for crying out loud will you run out of excuses already?

Hey Pool, thanks! Not bad for AT, huh? Speaking of the "big boys". Awesome lead guys. I'm sure my boss is tired of hearing how great a time I had. LOL Just want to re-iterate, awesome ride, awesome people, awesome time! Oh, and did I say AWESOME?!
Can't wait for the next one.

I'm sorry but I won't be able to attend the Pavilions meet this Saturday night (10-29-05). I have two parties to go to and one involves some potential work so that's a most go for me. Hope you guys and girls have fun!

Schedule has been updated

I will not be able to attend the drive on the 6th do to a last minute job offer. I'm looking for some one to take over and play navigator since Erin won't be there either. It is pretty much the same run as the "Changing of the Seasons Run" except I wasn't planning on going past Jerome. I figured we could grab some food there and then head back.

Edit - My head is in the clouds tonight. Anyone feel like taking my midterms for me?
