Well my fellow AZ RX-8s it's almost that time of year again. I was hoping you could give me some input on what you would like to do this year. After last years run up South Mountain I would say that has to be on the list for this year. I was also thinking of heading to Flagstaff for the changing of the leaves this fall. Definitely a fun drive and the extra bonus is our loved ones who aren't really into cars should enjoy it as well. Now let's hear your suggestions.

Hey, I am DEFINITELY up for a drive on South Mountain and the Flagstaff trip sounds cool!

I was hoping to attend the Mazda fest this year, but I am having to spend some money into Home improvements.

Haven't heard about Mazda Fest. Where and when? I have the same problem with my cash going to other places. I was really hoping I could make it to Sevenstock this time around.

Also are there any other places you would like to go as far as drive and meets are concerned?

Im up for any drives, just tell where and when. I'm planning on showing just about any chance I get so if there are others that are showing that would be great or if youre not then still come support the ones that are. My suggestiosn are;

-HIN- October 15th at Cricket
www.hotimportnights.com

-Speedworld- various shows and races (Next one Sept 10th in the PM, Nov. 12th)
www.speedworldmotorplex.com/schedule.htm

-SCO nights at Firebird- Oct 22nd, Nov 5th http://www.firebirdraceway.com/5.5we...streedrags.htm

-IDRC at Firebird- Oct 8th www.importdrag.com

-Sevenstock- Weekend of Oct 8th

Im not sure if thats what you were looking for but thats my 2 cents

I have never driven Tortilla Flats. It's a crime--I know, living here nearly my whole life...

My 2 cents.

This might be a discussion for a different thread, but for those driving enthusiasts, I think it would be cool to meet at F1 Race Factory... Fill up a row of parking spots there!

Updated.

Thank you all for the help. Organizing is not my thing but I wanted to get something going before fall hits.

There are 20+ members out there so let's hear some more suggestions.

How about a BBQ or 2? We can do one at my place but it will have to be later in the winter since my home and backyard are a construction zone.

Who else has some work they would like to do to their car? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has moss colored calipers now. Let's have a day or weekend were we get together and help each other out. Exhaust instalation, caliper painting, intake, clear corners, ect. I've got 4 jack stands, tools, and a garage floor that needs to be refinished anyways. What more could ya ask for.

Ahhh I know it's beer. Yup liquer store across the street

Hmm....that makes me wish I had a short shifter on hand to be installed. Or springs. Is there any drinking involved? How about one of those MP3 players...I could switch that out for my cd player yes?

Does Boxcar's Garage offer Zaino treatment if the owner supplies all the products from clay bar all the way up to finishing spray? :D

Yeah my place is open for anything that doesn't get me in trouble with the soon to be wife. As long as we don't destroy the place or leave a huge mess it's all good.

I have a 75ft hose just around the corner from my driveway and buckets. Cleaning supplies would have to be supplied by whom ever wants them. Springs would definately be fun. I've been wanting to buy an air compressor for my air tool set for months and this would be the perfect excuse. The air tools came with a jack I bought a while back. An MP3 player is an easy 1hr job with talking and goofing around. It's a direct replacement for the cd player, just pull the old one out and put the new one in.

How cool would it be to have like 5-6 8's at my place all being worked on at the same time? Two can fit in the garage depending on what is being done to them, two in the driveway, one in front on the street and one just around the corner w/ zaino.

I wonder if I can get my hands on a copy of Mrs. Pacman so I can get a rematch. I'm gonna kick your butt next time around

Oh you're still ailin' about the PacMan game 'eh? BHAAAAAAAAH! I don't remember your score but I do remember mine :D

Oh and believe me, nobody, n o - b o d y, want's to **** off the future Missus...that would infringe on our rotary gatherings ya know and we just can't have that :D

Could that air compressor blow dry a freshly washed car?

LMAO I sucked but it was definately fun. I think that was the first time you talked smack to me. I always wondered if you would take offense if I messed with you. Guess that night answered my question.

I'm not so worried about infringing on the gatherings as I am sleeping on the couch. It hasn't happened yet but the way I like pushing buttons... just a matter of time.

Sure why not. It will definately help to get the water out of the side vents, lights and spoiler. All those damn spots I can never reach well enough. You know what I'm talking about. Five minutes on the road and those damn droplets are running down the car I think I'm going to start price shopping tomarrow. I have a b-day soon after christmas so I'm wondering if I can get an advance from the family in the form of a home depot giftcard. he he Then hit up my 97yr old grannie in LA next weekend. j/k It's her B-Day today so I'm headed out there after finals are over to take her out.

Why the hell can I not sleep lately? I ran out of everything but water and Coke so I'm sitting here drinking a beer at 12am. Damn finals. I wouldn't have to worry if I would stop checking emails and finding any excuse possible to not work on my projects. Well back to the other sections of the forum. I think that's were I left my pen Have a good night/morning/day.

When is the RCCAZ F1 Date?

I have not driven Speedway. I hear that their 3-lap qualifying is cool. Speed Street's karts are not as good as F1's, but my son (now 9 years old) could drive at Speed Street when he was 8. And it is much closer to where I live than the other two places. :D :D You have to wait until 10 at F1 Race Factory. But, F1 does have two tracks. It is the best facility of the three.
