AZ owners - hot weather gas smell?

Hi -

Now that its getting very hot in AZ, I've noticed that I smell gas when I start my car especially in the afternoon. I do have covered parking at work, but its still hot.

I do leave the AC on, and the smell seems to blow in through those vents. Doesn't last long at all and car is running really well.

Ideas?

TIA

I have the burnt electronic smell Abbid described in the afternoon when it sits in the sun at work.
The gas smell only in the morning when I start it up.

I've noticed all types of unpleasant smells in all of my cars especially in AZ and there not coming from me or the Mexican food I commonly eat 

It's my understanding that your supposed to start the car, give it a chance to get going, and then turn on the AC..

I guess condensation builds up and creates that nasty smell..
