@636, you got alot of reading to catch up on. Make a few searches for threads started by CRH. Also look for threads including some of his customers.

@CRH, As I am just beginning my turbo project I was wondering how the turbo + Nitrous is going? If there is any success in that route, I would definately be one to tag along in this group install ya got. PM me some details please.

 

A nitrous AND turbo is really unessicary because you aren't using massive trim compressor and turbine wheels so the smaller/medium sized turbos for the RX8 (As of now operating under 330-rwhp) don't need the nitrous to help spool up, which is the main reason people do nitrous with a big *** turbo.

Of course, if you're just in it for mind numbing power or the "big *****" award, you can do it. But you must remember to dial boost back under a shot of nitrous or you may have problems.

636: I would recommend reading up on nitorus. Charles has some very good and informative threads (most are stickies) around the forum. You can also learn some general properties of nitrous and how it works by googling it and reading up. I would NOT recommend installing nitrous if you have very little to no working knowledge of it. That could and probably will be potentially dangerous.

On another tangent; I can speak for Charles' work ethic and qualitly. I back him 100% and I would be proud to have him install my stuff. He's also a stand-up guy and very fair.

My nitrous project is currently on hold for a few months but if anyone else is getting nitrous or needs any driveline work or a Petitt S/C installed let Charles know- he has tools and will travel. If enough get together then he can do it.

I toyed with the idea on NO2 and a turbo. I'll keep the turbo. For me both would be overkill.

 

no one ever said overkill was bad. I'm going turbo (sooner than later) and I'll still probably go nitrous just for ***** and grins
