i was recently talking to a mechanic while waiting for my car and he said that with all the money people save by using arco or costco gas, they end up spending it all on fixing their car because the gas is so cheap and has alot of bad crap in it that messes everything up. also, you get better mileage with better gas

Shell and 76 are the only thing that touch my 8. Off of Santa Ana by the 55 the Shell prices are usually decent.

I do like the $3.63 gas from that arco for the civic though :D

My CEL will turn off when I run 76/Shell hard enough.

The one time Arco was put in my car (not by me), it came on within 25 miles. Though inaccurate I use this as a measure of how well the gas is burning/clean it is. Could be wrong, could be right. Either way I'm catless and haven't seen the CEL in over 3,500mi.

Actually 87 gas will burn more cleanly than 93.

No one likes knock either! I'm not on an oem map either.

Lets not let this get into an octane debate either, I ran 89 for quite some time but am back at 91.
