4. Jeff - MazdaManiac - '8
5. Lisa - Two - '07 3
6. James - Rheiga / Bryan - Yoggie - '05 3s 5door
7. RickP + Wife + 2 kids / RickP in AZ / 06 SS RX-8
8. Todd - Flashwing - 05 RX8
9.Paul + g/f - 07 Mazda 3s
10. Shaun - brokenman - '07 3s

16. Dave - 09Factor - Yeller 8
17. Brian & Jenn - xrotaryguy - 74 RX2

20.

Some folks are not going to be able to get there at 4('ish) with the bigger group. We'll do our best to hold on to those spots until you can roll up but that can be difficult to pull off for any amount of time. If not, it's all good just park where you can and come hang out with us. It's gonna be over 100 so bring your sun screen, chairs, and shade! We'll be right by a McD's and other fast food type restaurants for those that will want some beverages/food etc.

I believe that the area they have reserved has more than 20 spots. I think we should be able to squeeze every body in.

Great to see those who made it! About 5 of our cars never showed. Oh well, we had 2 rows reserved for Mazda and it worked out GREAT! A few of us left early but those spots were quickly replaced by a late arrival so it really did work out great. TurbinePwr - John - BEST OF LUCK to you!!

Ford GT-40 (please forgive the blurry "night mode" shot)

Looking down into the GT-40 hood scoop

Saturn Sky's looked great (along with familial Soltices on the next row). I just loved the black headlight housing of the turbo (lambo doors compared to non-turbo right next to it). Also included in the pic are Killroy, MazdaManiac & Maniac's hottie significant other Niki! Chewie the oh-so-popular-multi-car-club-Mascot didn't make it today...go ahead and 'splain yourself MM!

Mazda Row 1 today at the car show. That's Easy's wife Micki in the foreground admiring her gorgeous Ti, with 09Factor, TurbinePwr & wife, RickP all in the background hanging out.

Mazda Row 2. That's our good friend KillRoy from AZMC yappin on the phone standing in front of my 8, xrotaryguy's wife & kids, Tom (he had a green rotary truck not in the pic) further back in the shot.

RCCAZ'ers yappin' it up here

AZMC'ers yapping it up here

Flat out beautiful night in the desert

Edit: I gotta add just one more. This picture turned out hilarious. Ferocious ain't he?

... and to all a good night.

It sure has been fun meeting with, talking, and driving with you all over the last 3 plus years now. To those that I didn't get to say goodbye to. It's been my pleasure. It's a great group out here in Phoenix. I will be checking back regularly to see how things are going. I wish you all the best.

Heck, I may even maintain my membership just to get the cool shirts each year. Keepem spinning with the wheel side down.

Great pics as usual pool

A bunch of the AZMC folks are doing a dealer event in the morning and a "mod-meet" in that afternoon.
Depending on the timing of the latter, I'll swing by the Pavs.

Sounds good M2. Hope to see you there!

Edit: Planning to arrive between 6 and 6:30 pm to minimize the amount of time standing in the HEAT. Just an FYI!

Wow,

Rare night at the Pavs last night. Five FDs, Eric Greenbank on his motorcycle, and Brian and Jen in the RX-4. Can't remember the last time a gathering has failed to net even one 8 owner, and when was the last time that we had 5 FDs assembled? Like I said... rare night indeed. It was nice to see Tom and Natalie in Tom's '93 R1 with new street ported engine. That car sounds SO mean. Beautiful job Tom, and nice wheels . Chris Hechler was there in her ultra clean '94. Steve Lieber was there as well in his '93 Montego Blue with new brushed aluminum kick panels and complementary brushed aluminum control *****. Looking good Steve!

Club members Troy and Leesa Moore were in town from Green Valley. Some of you may remember that they purchased Dave and Amy Long's pristine '93. Needless to say that they are taking very good care of her.

All in all it was a fun night (as always). Here are a few pics! Enjoy and have a great Memorial Day weekend!

P.S. Jen Jackson reminded me that "Curves of Steel" runs through this coming Sunday (June 3) at the Phoenix Art Museum. Incredible gathering of some of the most unique designs in automotive history (as featured this morning on CBS Sunday Morning). Get over there this week if you don't want to miss out!

Dang the 8's did not represent 'eh? Too many things in too little time and notice :D Love seeing all those FD's <drool> Sorry to have missed it myself. Chris's black is gorgeous and I haven't seen her in forever.

And I've heard some great things about Curves of Steel at the Phx Art Museum, which I've yet to visit after living here all these years. Tsk-tsk.

Thanks Poolside. Yes, we missed your sweet self. Chris commented on how much she loved the new "female style" ladies tank top this year. Needless to say it's a big hit. You know its a rare night when I have pics posted up within 24 hours, right (snicker, snicker... Pools and Abbid). What can I say. My track record has been less than stellar in the past, but HEY, there's always second chances and TOMORROW to look forward to, right??

We'll keep stiving to do better

Wish I could be there, but I'll be on a 39 hour whirlwind tour of suburban Maryland (and the airspace between here and there)! Yay.
On a plane at 9pm Saturday and back in Phoenix at noon on Monday, just in time to meet our new friend Dr. Charles Hill.
Nothing like two days without sleep!

How did I become #25? Hey all, the car is going into the shop for it's 30,000 mile service Friday night. So I won't have a Mazda when I come out to the meet.
I don't know what I'll have.

Not sure who originally did that E. Must have been wishful thinking on our part. Probably hoping that others would fill in the blanks!
