Yesterday - Monday - morning I saw a red RX-8 on Highway 1 between Capitola and Santa Cruz. The driver was a lady .. roughly my age (38)
I forgot what the license plate said.

I was in my black 8, passed her and then we both went on Highway 17 towards San Jose.

This morning (Tuesday, duuh) exactly 8:30am on the ramp from 17 to 85 North.. I stood behind a nordic-green RX-8. The car didn't have a license plate yet. I think it said "Almaden Mazda". Had a spoiler. The driver was a guy .. a bit older than me.. I dare not make more age estimates :-|
I was in my "ford-teal" Festiva today as I stood in traffic behind this RX-8, we passed each other later a few times.. traffic was a b*tch this morning again :-(

Not me....

I finally saw my first 2 8's yesterday (other than on the dealer lots)... both in Foster City. A titanium grey with paper plates and a velocity red (not sure if it had plates or not).

 

I see RX-8s now literally EVERY day. It used to be one 8 a week. The good weather seems to make them come out.

Talked to my dealer (Marina Motor, Capitola) over the weekend (there was a car show) and he said they had sold 35 so far.

They sold them at MSRP right from the beginning.

 

I just bought a green '8 down from Menlo Mazda. Got what I think was a pretty good deal on it, but they had to find it in Sacremento, so I don't have it quite yet (hopefully tomorrow afternoon).

I'll be commuting around the Pacifica->San Bruno route, up and over the hill via Sharp Park Road (lots of twisty switchbacks -- gonna be an awesome commute in the '8!)

I've only seen (or at least, noticed) a single RX-8 on my commute in the past few weeks, and that was a grey one coming down the hill in San Bruno.

I'm a newbie here and I just got a Nordic Green RX8 from Browning Mazda in Cerrittos. Great service and a great price thanks to AAA buying service. They had about 30 RX's, but none with Nav system which is what I wanted. Went to San Francisco this weekend and it handles well. Even my wife loves the car!

 

your right, I do see rx-8's everywhere now... oh well, I guess all of us early buyers had our time to shine =)

 

I see more RX-8s than I do FDs.

 

Silver and Red sightings in Berkeley on University street, last monday. I was in the black 8, and you were hot .

 

I saw a woman in a red 8 today in Mountain View/Los Altos area and a silver 8 turning left on El Camino (near Rengstorff).
