What are you talking about! If the exhaust did not make any power it would not even been made. We were involved with the R&D. I am so confident that exhaust does make horsepower from B&B as we use one on our own. In fact B&B exhaust make the most Horsepower and actually prove it unlike other companies. It looks like from your mod list that you have not done any performance parts and this is the right place to start. You can buy the exhaust, put it on your car, take it to a dyno, and if it does not make horsepower, send it back for a 110% refund!

Is that company policy or something you came up with? If you refund the before and after dyno time as part of the 110% I'm willing to bet that tons of folks will take you up on that. Let me ask you this, if I some of us only get 8 whp and want our money back, is vividracing going to quote us a bunch of stuff about dyno variation, vehicle variation, weather variation etc etc?

2010 Prius - Miss the 8
Based on other threads, all the exhausts have done little to no gain in HP. I'm not sure if it's any different right now... can rotarygod chime in again? He seems to know what's up.

That is NOT policy. I made that up for the exhaust. It is proven on the dyno and in racing. Exhausts DO make horsepower and I have no idea what systems, companies, or people have told you they do not. 8hp for a catback is normal on alot of NA cars. In fact on some of our turbo cars, the catbacks only make 12, but it is all part of the scheme of achieving the final puzzle. Free up air flow, improve A/F settings, and gain horsepower. The first step is always the exhaust. 8-12hp for a catback is VERY respectable. You should look at the other dyno charts of other cars to compare.
Dyno variation has NOTHING to do with this. Cause you look at the delta. You drive you car in and make Horsepower A. You then put the exhaust on and test it and get Horsepower B. That difference will be relatively the same no matter WHAT dyno you are on as long as the variables are kept the same.
If you don't believe me, then ask plenty of out enthusiasts how their systems perform.

His statement is correct when it comes to generalities.
Concerning V8's 6's and 4's this may be true.
But we are Rotories.
A well designed Renisis rotory will not get gains like that.
We all know this fact.

Exhausts do nothing more than make our cars sound pretty... anybody advertising a 'noticable gain in HP' has never been in an RX8 before and after an exhaust install.
But they do make our cars sound flippn sweet!
