I ordered the turboxs exhaust from Summit Racing. Would you know if that includes the race pipe? Customer service was unable to figure it out.

Also, which midpipes will fit the exhaust? thanks

No I talked to them last week. They don't include the racepipe and they also are selling the older model, not the new revised one that doesn't burn the shrouds. Sorry

No worries. I was aware of that risk when I ordered it and you're right :-)

So I have been driving around with this setup for about 2 months now on my S2, and I honestly cannot recommend this to modded S2 owners. Not only do you need aftermarket exhaust hangers, but I have run into frequent clearance issues in the area between the exhaust hanger between the midpipe and the mufflers, and the flange that connects the two exhaust pieces.

I will have to grab a picture later, but I have significantly worn down the exhaust hanger weld spot from daily driving and scraping on sharp grade changes in the road. Soon I suspect that I will completely tear through the weld on the hanger location and start scraping the pipe directly.

I've been driving it for 2 months as well, I havent installed extended hangers, they burnt the tip a bit, put not to much. as for clearance, I hear the spring bolt hit on my heatshield once in a while in really bumpy road (and god knows we got the worst road up north in quebec). Im brigning her in to replace my brake this week, ill have a look at the hangers welds spot, but havent noticed anything last time I checked.

im thoughtoutly happy with the exhaust, the tone really calmed down since the original start up with the RP/cat-back combo. almost half less noisy, but still loud lol, but alot more comfortable on the highway.

Personally I had my mind prepared for some unexpected disagreement when I took the decision to buy an aftermarket exhaust, but in no way I would "Not recommend" it to any S2 owners.

Are you lowered by any chance? Could you take some pics of your setup? I would be interested to see how yours sits.

My decision not to recommend this exhaust is due to the fact that I am lowered, and if I continue to scrape and go through the weld on the exhaust hanger, I know it will start punching a hole through the exhaust pipe.

I came up with a soloution to the scraping at the rear hanger at the Diff. Shorten the hanger at that point to pull the piping closer to the diff. On mine there is about Three to four inches of clearance between the pipe and the diff. Most other exhaust are about 1 to 2 inches. I think If you do that it will be like all the others. I compared mine to a HKS ss exhaust on my buddys 8 and that was really the only difference in the rear. His sits closer to the diff cause his hanger is shorter. I'm happy with mine.

I dont think we can do that on the S2 ... if i shorten that hanger it is going change the angle at which that pipe mates with the muffler portion.

Mind showing a pic?

Hey I was wondering if you guys were able to record the decibel levels this exhaust produces at idle and once revved at certain rpms because I do not want to purchase an exhaust that produces noise levels that are illegal, and I had complaints about my last exhaust so I;m currently on a stock exhaust.
I really like the sound of this one and the HKS exhaust but I really need to know that decibel level exhaust produces if possible. HKS got a chart for all their exhausts and I think something like that is very helpful.

Thank you so much

I will check with the owner when he gets in, I recall taking sound measurements a long time ago. I will get back to you later in the day
