I am looking at getting a race pipe and new catback. I currently have the Hymee catback and it sounds great.

However, I am looking at getting supercharged soon and a free flowing exhaust would be of benefit. The problem I face is that the track I usually run on has a 98 db noise limit. Has anyone measured this setup for noise level. Even a rudimentary I phone app reading would be useful.

You won't pass. Promise. We had mine on the dyno and the phone app's range wasn't high enough.

Greater than 150db at 10 feet.
I know a guy who has a similar setup on his rx7 track car and the db limit at his track is 100db, he had to point the tips away from the tracks mic

Not true, it is only a rubber hanger change required to fit. One of the members posted it in this thread.

i have the TurboXS exhaust and to get it to match up with my RB midpipe i cut the end off of my XS racepipe and welded it on RB midpipe...it doesnt fit under the car quite as well as i would like
i will be getting a new BHR midpipe pretty soon, so in order to keep from having to do this all over again and fitment not being spot on i understand that you have an option now for the XS exhaust that will mate up with most midpipes (different end i assume)...is there anyway i can order just this end only so i can weld it to my exhaust for easier midpipe swaps? or is this just a universal end i can get anywhere?
thanks,
Levi

BUMP.

I'm wondering the same thing, does the Catback + Midpipe trip the CEL? Also, does it pass emissions tests with both Catback + Midpipe?

Thanks!

Removing the catalytic converter will throw multiple CEL codes, and it's an automatic FAIL for emissions test without Cat.

The spark-plug defouler mod or O2 sensor spacer may help prevent the CEL, although I haven't tried either.

Thanks for the reply and help Van (I am definitely going to read up on those links you shot me but I am at work at the moment and time is money lol)

So I am assuming this is a track only catback + racepipe combo?

I would have loved to get my hands on this.........has anyone here been able to bypass the pesky CELs and Failed Emissions tests 1st hand with this TurboXS system on an RX8?

I know im a n00b

For the most part, you can ignore the CEL codes as it has no effect on performance. Buy a scanguage to clear the codes every so often. You can also buy a COBB AP for a tune and permanently remove the codes, but that is the more expensive option.

Most people install the cat before test and remove afterwards. If you don't want to deal with the codes, just install the cat-back portion.

Yeah but the post was started some time ago so I wasn't sure if it was a limited time group buy or not. And the link to pay for it doesn't come up. That's why I asked. Thanks tho
