Not sure if they used a short bolt, but I had it double checked and there are no exhaust leaks at all.

I can then assume you bought the GL header and know that it fits 'shity' from personal experience?

In my experience and from what Ive been told by those that have been around longer than me [rx7 multiple gens] it doesnt get much better than TXS. One of the few long standing rotary suppliers.

Nope, more like a brand problem than cheap headers in general. OBX always had fitment issues.

I haven't had, nor heard of any fitment issues with these TSX Garageline headers. These headers are $700 on the Garageline site.

The ONLY issues with TSX are related to wrong sized bolts/springs.

I just installed mine here in my home garage. It's a well constructed part. I have my OE muffler with a TXS catt'ed mid-pipe with an added resonator to tone it down to the volume I wanted. Normal cruising, it's very quiet almost OE. When you get on it or have a bit of a load, you can hear the classic rotary raspiness from the headers. Remember the Veilside RX-7 in Tokyo Drift? Sounds a bit like that.

Hey guys, I should mention that the drivers side engine mount had to be ground down in order to get this header to fit on an 04' GT MT. We installed this last weekend on Hector Castillo's car. Fitment was pretty good but both engine mounts were removed and the engine moved over to the drivers side to get it to slide up in there. Overall the install was about as difficult as I expected it to be. For a rookie I would say a 8 out of 10 due to having to bust out the grinder.

Hector is now running the TurboXS header, TurboXS midpipe, and TurboXS catback

Oh, and wrapping it in DEI header wrap was the biggest pain in the *** and time consumer. But I let hector and Hoss-05 tackle that
