Hi Kevin,

Not sure why we need to involve the forum...but I will respond to your post

I am sorry you are disappointed with the order, however it is not my responsibility to keep track of your credit card/finances. You never told me that we have 48 hours to complete the transaction because a bank takeover is in place.

I had to investigate with accounting why your card was declining and that is not something normal that I do. There are times that we do not get to charge a credit card instantly as you are ordering your parts. And it does take 24-48 hours, depending on the credit institution, to have a credit card be completely processed as it goes through a variety of hands, middle men.

Regardless, sorry if you feel like we have failed you in anyway, I always strive to have as smooth transactions as I can and many can vouch for that. But sometimes things just do go our way.

As far as you being on hold for 11 minutes, we simply were slammed on a lot of phone calls all at once and I was trying to accommodate everyone as best as I could with what I was given. I actually called you back at your work right after and had the same thing going on except I had no chance to even speak to anyone human. Again sometimes there is less control of these aspects as we would like.

I wish you the best, and have a great holiday weekend!!!

Thank you

-Adam@THM

If you would have shipped the same day as initially said then we wouldn't have had a problem. Also, as stated in my email to you...I am a manager at a business and you called my direct line to my office. No one answers that phone besides me and I was at lunch. If you would have called the customer line I can promise you we would not have put you on hold for anywhere near 11min.

The reason I am getting the forum involved is because I've seen to many people get burned or been served poorly. I'm simply trying to put my experience out there. The bad needs publicized just as much as the good. Its all fair.

If many others have had a good experience....awesome. But the bad typically never say anything to you but they do to 10 others by what the studies show. I did not have a good experience and I am simply choosing not to do business with you. I feel others should know....not only to make them aware but also to maybe give you the heads up to fix it.

If your too busy to answer all the phone calls in a timely manner thats great for business but you might consider hiring more people.

I DO hope others have better experiences. And I DO hope you fix the problems. We need more businesses out there with great customer service.

Kevin,

I will again put up a response to your post.

Indeed, yes, that is correct. However, you and I both know that neither of us would have shipped or gave a product to a customer without her/him paying for it first. You manage your own business too, so I am sure you we are at a mutual understanding.

Kevin, how am I supposed to know that?

I was not provided with a number for "the customer line" I simply dialed a number that you provided to me, as a best contact number for you.

And regardless weather I called "the customer line" and was put on hold or not put on hold I needed to speak to you and wouldn't be able to, since you were away at lunch. So technically I am not really sure why you are bringing all this up.

On a side-note to all our customers:

Our phone systems still transfer phone calls to the intended person even if they are not at their desk. The phone calls get transferred to our business cell phones and than our personal cellphones. So we try to be uber reachable for everyone!!! Weather we are at our desk, in the shop, loading bay or simply picking up some food.

However we here have a specialty shop where we work on a detailed basis with our customers and try to give them undivided attention. There is alot going on here and we try to cater to our customers needs one at a time.

Kevin, you were put on hold and asked to please hang on. I apologize that I was unable to assist you that minute. There were simply a few customers that called in a few minutes before you. No one was rude to you and we all wanted to help everyone. Hiring more people would not have solved that situation, since you and the others calling in needed to specifically talk to me.

Kevin,

This is your 6th post at rx8club. And even though we all appreciate others contributing positively in forums, you haven't done much of that here. Getting the forum involved is a good start, and hopefully we can work things out.

I have too seen many cases of bad customer service, and I have seen great customer service cases go un-noted. Now in your case, I simply couldn't do much to help out, I was unable to send the spark plugs you wanted to purchase since your credit card declined.

Our customers that do purchase their parts from us get their items in very timely manner. And we do have a very good reputation in this case, weather its a transaction done on any of the 30+ car forums we support , our website, Google or ebay.

We are in business for the long term. My colleagues and I do strive to give the best customer support we can, but its impossible to be perfect, and again I am sorry to have you feel like we have failed. But once you get familiarized with this forum

Yes, that is awesome indeed!!! I appreciate all the cases of positive support that we see everyday. We appreciate our customers and hope to continue giving back as well with great prices on great products, best customer service that we can have, and an awesome treatment for all our returning customers.

If you are trying to explain that word of mouth is a powerful phenomenon, than yes I do hear ya. It really helps, and again we do appreciate all the positive things that word of mouth has brought to us and helped us continue our expansion. However, I am not to knowledgeable on "the studies" and to what they show.

I believe that you did choose to do business with us. However your credit card institution did not allow the actual transaction to take place, and therefore we were unable to compete your transaction and you were unable to do business with us. And now you are pissed and are trying to make others aware of your bad experience.

What should I fix? please email our customer service department to support@thmotorsports.com so that an unbiased opinion and solution can be achieved.

Hiring more people wont solve the fact that you or others want to speak to me. We do have a decent staff here of very knowledgeable people. Everyone has their own strengths and specialties and when working directly with any customer we do tend to give as most undivided attention as we can to that person. However there are times when w simply have to put others on hold in order to assist them ASAP.

We hope that many many people have a better and better experience every time. And we do work hard to fix any glitches or issues that are present...that is why we have a great customer service department that is always there to work with the customer after the sale, purchase, tune install etc.

I agree...and we work hard to be where we are. We are always looking at new ways to move forward and grow with our customers. We will further expand our customer service abilities and work with our sales staff to better our business from experiences like this.

in fact, if we do need to assist customers with the management of their credit card and finances so be it. In fact this all has helped us further pursue our venture with PayPal's "Bill me later" feature. A great "credit" like feature that works with your paypal account to be able to purchase something and get it, without paying for it right away. More details and its use is coming soon to our website www.thmotorsports.com

Thank you everyone.

This is the last post that I will put here regarding this situation just because its silly over such a simple purchase gone bad.

You keep saying "if your card would have gone through" as if I manage my finances poorly. Least we forget that it took you 4 weeks to figure it out that my card was the problem. Maybe its not MY finances that are mismanaged. You gave me several excuses as to why I hadn't received my plugs yet except for the one true reason. I wonder how many other customers you've lost due to similar reasons and never spoke up?

An interesting addition to this story...I ordered the plugs from amazon 2 days ago. They too had my old credit card number. Within 2 hours I received an email stating that it did not go through. I immediately updated my info to my new credit card number and my plugs shipped that same day. THAT is how it should have been handled.

If the card was ran the same day I ordered why then did it take you 4 weeks to let me know that???

And to address why I haven't posted much...I bought my RX-8 2 months ago. I simply haven't had the time in the community to post much. Contribution can be interpretted differently. If contributing is attempting to belittle and discredit a let down customer on a public forum that was simply trying to make his voice known??? Count me out.

And don't forget man....the customer is always right. That means make it right at any cost. That is how to build a great business.....pushing people away like myself is not the path to success.

Post what you want now......I'm done. You won't get a response.

Kevin,

We always try to better ourselves here. We take all situations and improve upon them. Yes, we are not ebay or amazon. Its hard to compare a specialty shop that way. There are always pros and cons of all things. There is no right way or the perfect approach. And yes, we are not perfect by all means.

We have been pretty successful the way we do things and our customers overall have been very happy. We do see a tremendous amount of returning customers. We involve ourselves in the community and work directly with our customers and enthusiasts, but we try to be even better.

Kevin, we will always improve ourselves to be better for the customers. Thank you for all your input.

Got my midpipe SATURDAY DELIVERY AT NO CHARGE! It was delivered to my office so the added expense was kind of a waste but hey....it's the thought that counts.

Thanks again Adam

Lol, I find it hilarious for a debate over spark plugs and probably just a misunderstanding. I have had a great experience working with Adam. He answered all my question and helped tremendously. Every answer came quickly and my order was processed just as fast. And for some reason I was able to do this working 14+ hours a day while deployed in Afghanistan (no phones and crappy internet). But I am not trying to start anything. Just giving some positive feedback. All I have to say is great job Adam and THMotorsports - keeping giving us great deals! Later

Its confusing until you are doing the job. The engine is labeled with leading and trailing and the spark plugs are labeled too.

There is only one way to get ALL the plug wires in. Otherwise they would be too short on one of them and wont work....pretty simple though once you are actually in there.

LMK if anything.

Is the 117 for plugs and wires shipped still available? Is it "Laser Iridium" plugs for this deal? Are these OEM plugs and wires? Sorry if I am asking too many questions I am a newbie.

BTW how can I order them with Paypal? How long for shipping?

OEM Plugs are made by NGK, so yes. They are NGK Blue Wires
Sorry if I am asking too many questions I am a newbie.

Do you have the 06+ lead plugs avail? Hot Start Plugs (RE6C-L)

If so what would be the pricing with the Trailing plugs (RE9B-T)

Thanks
