This is just a guess on my part, but the weekend of the 8th-10th is graduation weekend at Schreiner University there in Kerrville. It'll be hard to get hotel rooms that weekend.

As far as the 15th-17th, no idea!

I spoke with the Hampton and they can give us a group rate of $89 a room for the first weekend. That includes hot breakfast in the morning and wi-fi.

Judging by some other information I was looking over, the first weekend will probably offer the lowest rates period.

Keep in mind the 25th is memorial day and the town is likely to be packed.

How'd you get a hold of them? I've tried asking them multiple times and they keep saying the "group sales" guy is out til Friday.

Bastards!!

I'm not sure I'd go that far. As they say, money talks.

So it would be $89 a night or $89 for the whole weekend? it sounds like it may be best to do the very last weekend so that everyone is done with school and it would be after memorial day.

hahah, you're funny. 89 / night and you can sleep 4 to a room if you like.

One thing of note, the rates go up later in the month because more people can travel. Their regular rates go up $30 / night compared to the first weekend.

That sucks that they still can't give us the price of $89 a night....I know we are not going to stay at the Whitten again but we may just need to shop around and see what we can get.

Always a nerd, if that's what you're implying. Not all of us can be 'bad bitches' Creto.

No, no, I'm in a lull as far as projects this week-I'm sure next week will be hell. It seems to be a constant roller coaster in this field, we can never just be steadily busy...you know, like hell week and finals in college with the lulls of "just class" and pitchers at the Chicken.

Seriously. Bored. I mean, my boss just started singing a song from 'Annie.' Wow.

The later the better for me, even if it costs a bit more. I don't mind paying more if I don't have to deal with the bugs in the room like y'all did last year!

Please keep me up to speed with this. I am really wanting to return. My wife and I had a great time last year even with the few problems. Looking forward to another. I think will be in Vegas the last weekend of May. I have to check the dates.

Something to keep in mind for some of us... there's a fair amount of college students who will still have class and finals around that first week but later on in the month everyone should be done. Just a thought though... not sure how many people hoping to go to this meet that would affect.

Yeah, we've talked about the exact dates between the couple of us trying to plan the event, and that was brought up.
