Kwarner04- Would you be able to make up a logo like the one on the website that I would be able to send out to the t-shirt places? I was told to ask you, haha.

Lol, you're the one that made it!

I refer you to this page:
https://www.rx8club.com/gulf-rx-8-forum-32/texas-state-wide-event-oct-24th-26th-156226/page17/

We just modified it slightly to change the red to green to match the site.

While you're at it, replace "41" with "Ingram"

Oh, and if we want to change it to the order of the "8", it'd be...

Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Vanderpool, Leakey, Camp Wood, Three Sisters, Medina

but to be fair, we go through Vanderpool and Leakey twice, so you could put it this way too:

Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Vanderpool, Camp Wood, Three Sisters, Leakey, Medina

Doesn't much matter to me though.

HAHA!!! I never even noticed that!

I'll get it together tonight. Didn't you also say you need a copy of the logo to stretch/adjust for the header?

Let me know what else you need and I can get it to you.

Yeah it would be nice to have a logo thats bigger in the header, but the problem is the size of the logo is currently hard coded badly into the site and it may take some work to adjust it to do a full size logo justice.

Figure it needs to be longer than taller in the header case. Think the current one is something like 200x200 (dont remember the exact dimensions.

Isn't everything suppose to be bigger in Texas?

Riley,

I've created a new logo.png file (http://images.kyleinprogress.com/RX-8/logo.png) that is the max dimensions listed in the CSS sheet (it says 63px by 340px). So the new image fills that out as much as possible without being distorted so it's now 63px by 210px.

Hopefully that one will look a little better. I'd send you the source file, but unless you have Adobe Illustrator, it won't do you much good.

And I'll work on getting the t-shirt logo done too. Do we want it to match the website logo (green 8) or do we want it with the original red 8 or possibly a different color? I'm guessing these will go on black shirts, but really don't know. I guess I'll just throw some options up here and see what people say.

I need help with photo galleries and making them properly, especially when the pictures are hosted off site with people like Photobucket. Currently its very time consuming for me to do it.

Could you make one that fills close to half of the header? I know what the current style sheet says but we need a bigger more readable image on the header.

I was thinking for now that the logo color should stay the same and use only dark colored T-shirts. The reason being is that I hope we can rotate colors every year, like maybe next year have a totatlly different color. What do you think?

Do you have an image editing program or just something you can use to resize pictures? I can send you a large copy of the image (transparent of course) and you can resize it to your needs. Since I don't know how much you'd really need, figured this might be a little easier than me sending you files a specific size.

And I'll create a new post here in just a bit with some different options. I like the idea of changing the color each year!

I actually use a seperate website for my galleries, I tried it on the shop site (in my sig www.audiofxaustin.com) and so far I've had good luck with it, then again, if you're talking about people posting them in a forum that's a little different. I believe this site and acurazine among others have their own built in galleries, where people submit or post etc, you can set up gallery2 (which is what I'm using, getting ready to launch it on the texasrxs site once I get it tweaked etc.) to do that or find a module (joomla might call them templates lol) that does it and incorporate it into the site, I think if you were to use a module then you'll just have to give people permissions to post stuff, the gallery2 sites you can set up use registration similar to a forum, I haven't really tried to figure out how to tie it all in together yet, may not even be possible for 1 user id to do both forum access and gallery2 access etc.

Can you take a screenshot of what it looks like? What browser are you using, and what is the version of that browser? Is it just the forums or the whole site?
