Well yeah.... Hence why we were planning the Sherlocks event on Friday and offering suggestions for Saturday night

One thing about Sherlocks, how many under 21 drivers do we have? I dont know about the one in DFW but here they dont let anyone under 21 in.

Well I know you are down to kick it because you always have in the years past....but it always seemed like the majority would come up for the cruise saturday morning and then leave right after. So I was just wanting to see if people were actually planning on hanging out.

ok then we will have to plan something else instead of Sherlocks......

We could do Dave and Busters, alcohol for the adults and they allow the kiddies in, and plus they have a HUGE parking lot.

What exactly are we wanting to do friday night? Drink? Eat? Hang out? Cruise around town? veg in the hotel?

Word...

Just a question but why does it matter to yall S.A. guys anyways? S.A. isnt that far away and I dont think this should just be another meet for y'all. This shouldnt of been a poll to begin with, this is a Texas STATE meet, that means we should meet somewhere requring yall to drive, not stay at home and just do w.e.

I think i stand for ALL of the DFW crew when saying we should have it it Kerrville, Its a annual meet and it should stay in the same place, not moved. They dont move the Deals Gap meet every year do they?

I believe it should be in Kerrville, its not too far from yall and it should yield a experience, not just another cruise for yall. Id actually like to meet more of yall and talk to more than just Corn, his wife and Grunge (no offense of course, they were great fantastic guys but id like to get to know more of the SA crew). The night I met them had to of been the funniest night there, and they know why... Which is why everyone should be staying in Kerrville. From DFW to SA to Houston to Austin, everyone should book at the same hotel and just talk and relax. Meet and greet etc. Hang out at the pool, go grab a bite, get wasted whatver ya know?

The DFW CREW (Thomas) has planned this in the past and I dont think the usual member's agreed to do a Poll. As far as im concerned the DFW Crew is hosting this event show it should be where WE want it (no offense) and it should be in kerrville. As far as im concerned im wondering why Thomas went and took command in the first place when it was supposed to be between Him, Creto and Seatown. just my opinion and I mean no offense to any of y'all, my opinion is that DFW crew is making this Texas meet annual so it should be in Kerrville, if the SA crew wants to make a State meet, well then by all means go ahead (no offense) but I dont agree with this Poll, you have to account for liability issues as well (as Creto pointed out to me) ill let him explain if he feels the need to.

Hope i didnt offend anyone by this but this is just the way i feel...

Oh and 9K the votes have NOT been tampered with...

Actually it doesn't matter to me personally where we have it. And to be perfectly honest, the weekend before the post went up about the meet those of us in SA were talking about organizing this years event since nothing had be scheduled yet.

You are right this is a STATE wide meet and therefore it should matter what EVERYONE thinks and not just what the DFW CREW wants to do (using your words). No matter where in the state we have it, it will be closer for some than it will for others, its just one of the advantages/disadvantages of living in a state so big and will no central meeting point.

In the past few months we (SARX) have actually strengthened our numbers and I hope (no matter where the meet is) we have showing that can rival that of DFW.

And no offense, but last year's after drive meet was kinda boring. The whole group didn't hang out together, the group split into two clics ... those of us by the prom and those inside a room. Nothing wrong with that, but no offense watching an underage kid drink himself stupid is not my idea of a fun night. I do know there are plenty more things to do in SA that would be able to involve everyone for an after drive get together.

And to go one further, I was actually thinking about hosting a BBQ at my house for that Saturday. Before I can fully commit there are certain things here I must iron out first. I will say this though, IF I do host it.... THERE WILL BE NO UNDERAGE DRINKING PERIOD, sorry but I'm not going to jail for anyone. And no one that has had too much to drink will be allowed to get behind the wheel..... but like I said this is still a BIG IF right now, so I don't want to commit anything as of yet. And just as a suggestion, if we can get sponsors to donate money maybe we can look into renting a pavilion at one of the local parks, the only problem here would be that they would require us to disband around midnight if not earlier and possibly even security because of the alcohol.

And as for you Grunge, im sorry you didnt have a good time then, I have a blast as well as everyone at that table did. Im sorry to hear that, i thought it was a fun and memorable event. But the fact of the matter is yes no drinking should be allowed but that is part of the liability stand point. Since the DFW crew is hosting the event if someone from the SA crew had a few drinks and drives home drunk and something bad happens we, or mostly the main people from the DFW crew who set up the event are at fault and could get in serious trouble. A nice big, safe place to be would be preferable, like all of us at one hotel. THEN drinking would be allowed as everyone would just go back to their hotel room, LIKE i did...

Now im sorry you didnt have fun that one night. I thought it was nice meeting you but if you werent having fun why did you stay? no one told you you had to stay, granted Yes i am young but i thought me getting a tad drunk made the night. maybe not for you but to everyone at the table from the DFW crew had fun, hell didnt even Corn's wife have fun and make funny faces or something in the background for Prom Pictures, if you werent having fun then leave, no offense man but im pretty sure everyone else had a blast.

Yes this is true but the point im making is this should be more than just a cruise to the SA crew. This should be a once a year deal, its a BIG DEAL, so they should get out of their houses and stay at a hotel. It would be more fun that way and make it more important, popular and it would get more people involved...
