Nope, sorry. They DO NOT fit. It can't be done. There just simply is no room for a V8 in an RX-8. The cam gear geometry is incompatible with a car designed for rotary use, in other words it is impossible. Also, the V angle is too wide and interferes with suspension mounting. Furthermore, recent double blind testing has proven that it simply does not work.
and aren't you supposed to get banned for this kind of V8 absurdity?

whut? The rx-7 engine bay is smaller and there's quite a few v8's in them.
In fact, I think I can fit a REW and a smallblock in the amount of space we have available.

ssshhh, don't tell people.....
the last thing we need is a bunch of pushrod powered rx-8s running around sounding like lawnmowers...

Obviously no one picked up on the fact that I was joking because I don't want to see an RX-V8 ever. Now that I'm getting threatened to put "my money where my mouth is" I guess I'll let everyone in on it....
I know there's room for a V8!

But hey, I have 238 hp from 1.3 L (or is it 2.6), but I have trouble keeping up with stock V6 accords.
Get off the rotary high horse. While it has some advantages, its disadvantages cannot be ignored.
Props to the guys capable of doing this kind of work.

I heard there was an LS1 in an 8 at the last 7stock. I can't confirm or find pictures though.
I'm sure I'll pop one more Renesis before the new 100K warranty is up. After that I'll sell or put in an LS_.
