WTB / FS Sections

With the RX-8 getting on in its years I am seeing Just as many WTB Threads as FS Threads...

Time for a seperate WTB Section? For Parts Only of course?

I would agree. It'd be easier to just be able to look at for sale stuff, or to look through the WTBs if you have something to get rid of.

the only foreseeable problem is people posting stupid WTB ads for $10 clear corners....

We're going to put in a for sale/wtb section for every region. Hopefully, that will help some of the traffic.

So is it going to be

FS/WTB Section is within regions

SE>FS/WTB
South>FS/WTB

OR

FS/WTB Section then Region

FS/WTB
SE
South
West

You might also think about having shipping and non shipping sections too, theres alot of people who just dont have the time to try and box up a full exhaust and find a way to ship it. I don't think i'm the only one who see something like FULL TITANIUM EXHAUST $500 opens it and its across the country and says no shipping, dreams crushed...LOL it would def. help clear things up some.

elara,

i still have my one point. i was rude. does it ever go away?

i think just a wtb and fs, covers it.

but, i think that those not willing to ship should go to there region.

hey, but what do i know..

beers

Each regional forum will get it's own wtb/fs section. We're going to leave the current WTB/FS sections in place as well, but I'll talk to the other mods and see what they think about breaking them down into WTB and FS seperately.

And Fluid, I know it seems like it may be more work for some, but we're not going to stop people from posting in both places, either. You have to remember that the majority of people looking to buy/sell are looking to do so in their own region, and forcing them to sort through one forum can be kind of tedious and frustrating.

Anyway, I'm going to try and get a start on the regional stuff today, depending on my workload at my job.

Yeah that's cool, that's why I said it was good and bad. Totally understandable.

But I think separation in the Main FS/WTB would be stellar if anything.

yeah Id have to say Im not to keen on the regional forum FS/WTB idea,,,
Im the kind of person that doesnt mind shipping cost as long as its somethin I need or want,,, now I have to route through multiple sections....

I understand what you(Elara) mean, by it wont keep people away form the main FS/WTB forum but on multiple occassions Ive convinced people with extra financial compensation, when they were dead set on 'local only' becasue I really needed something,,,,

maybe just make it a rule that they have to state if they are willing to ship in the title and their location. ie local only (so cal). It would be cool having a buying section only.

I don't see any reason to change it, using the search function eliminates all the BS for anyone trying to be specific

the regional suggestion only further fractures a national forum into an us vs them scenario

i think if you're willing to ship so you post in the normal section, you should have to list your state and it will automatically be posted into the sppropriate regional section.

yes, it's much too difficult to send your zip and ask for a shipped price
