I can't get my animated gif down to 6100 kb. O, I can but it looks bad. MODS : how about giving us all a little more room on avatar size restrictions??

Errr...I don't really want people having 6 MB avatars...That would be like downloading 10 MP3s every time I wanted to view a thread.

Your bouncing boobies gif is being used on another website by someone else without any problems, and that site has more size restrictions than this one.

I would also like to see the avatar size increased. 40-50k would be sufficient for me.

6k limit is fine for me.

I have 15 mbps download at home, and in the office I'm on an oc-3. But some people are on dialup and large avatars can easily render the site useless.

I just thought...Maybe 10-15k..that's it. The bouncing ***** is 198k If I reduce from 256 colors to 3 colors and resize it to 50% it's still over 6 k.

There are options in your profile to turn off avatars, signatures & images. Dial-up people should have changed those setting all ready if it is a problem.

I vote for 250x250 pixel/8mb limit on avatars and 1280x1024 pixel/20mb on sigs.
