I want to purchase a new car next year I have been lookin at the rx8 for some time now. I even joined this club to learn more about. I am into it alot..but however i have a dilemma. the mustang gt has crossed my path. is a powerful engine and a great price. what do you guys think about this. I am not sure if this is the best place to ask being that is the rx8 club. I am looking for honest opinions. thank you.

Have you test driven either one of theses vehicles? That would definitely influence your decision.
Other than the rather lackluster interior on the Mustang, I think it is a nice car. While it has history behind it, it lacks the same soul that the 8 has. I was considering one before I test drove an 8.
In the 8's favor, insurance should be a little less as it is considered a 4 door, with a 1.3 liter engine. And, it is more unique than a Mustang.
Really, it comes down to your personal preference. In my experience, any car bought as some sort of symbol for others to be impressed by, will eventually lose its apeal to you.
