I think there should be a way to return to your search after you reply to a thread. For example, if I read through a 4 page thread and then post reply, I have to back through the reply window and all 4 pages of the thread to go back to the original search. It would be nice to post a reply and click a button to go back to the search results that you were looking at.

I think that is something vBulletin guys would need to do.

I open my Search found threads in a new window instead of in the Search Results window to avoid the situation you described.

In IE you shift-click the link or right click, and from the context menu click Open in New Window
In Netscape you right-click and Open Link in New Window
