I get that all the time.
I'll get a notification of a new PM. It'll show up in my "new messages" indicator, but that actual message wont be available until much later or even the next day!

I noticed that if I click on User CP under the RX-8 Club banner it will show it if I receive a email stating I have a new PM and Private Messages doesn't show it right away.

It seems like there are two data bases that are not synchronizing properly.

Right now it is showing messages that were deleted a few days ago.

It happens more with IE7 than FireFox.

If this happens try -> Delete Browsing History -> Deleting temp files in IE7, seems to clear it up for the old messages. (It is probably pulling from cache to potentially speed things up).

I don't know if this helps with getting the messages faster, but it should since it would be pulling from the site instead of the cached page on a person's hard drive.

To solve it change the Browsing History settings to "Check for a newer version of the page each time a site is visited"

This should clear it up.

Man I work backwards sometimes.

Not that it's that bothersome, but I've gotten no E-mail notifications of anything for months.
On another take.............I wonder if the PM's I sent to people that wanted to buy some stuff even got through? Hmmmmmmm

Yes I've been worried about the same thing...

For the email notifications, have you checked your junkmail folder?

Yep, they aren't getting put there, or in my Norton anti-spam folder, or being blocked by my ISP, they just ain't coming. Oh well......not that concerned about it, but I remember I got them for about the first month I was on the forum and then they just stopped.
