Embed YouTube videos

Just like the title says. Make a tag so we can embed videos into posts.

Seen it on other forums...

Perhaps provide the option to disable those through the user CP, so whoever wishes can just have links instead of videos in posts.

The videos don't start playing automatically so it's not annoying to anyone.

Yes, yes it is.

Leaving the site or having a pop-up window is a lot more annoying than just clicking play.

Hell, it's very easily done: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199345

There are some pretty significant security issues with allowing embedding of videos.

Such as? Seems to work pretty well on other forums. And those forums have a 3-4x larger userbase.

If you allow people to embed video into a post you open up a security hole that would allow malicious code to run. If everyone was running good AV and latestest updates on their OS this wouldnt be an issue, most people aren't.

What are you talking about exactly? I have yet to hear of a virus/malicious code being distributed through YouTube...

I am STRICTLY speaking of YouTube videos, not just videos in general...

The virus wouldnt come from youtube. It would come from some script-kiddie who posted an embedded video on some random site with bad code in it.

What part of "only allow YouTube videos" did you not understand
