I know i'm a n00b, but i agree as well. A lot of how you determine someone's attitude and context is delivered throught the smiley's. THere just isn't enough.

just do 'insert image' by clicking on the image icon in the 'go advanced' mode

then paste the hyperlink to the image (right click and grab location/target link)

while I'm at it :D
