Nothing still? I see that m.rx8club.com redirects to the rx7club.

 

They said monday guys..they didn't say which monday!

I've kinda given up hope. I've wanted a mobile site for rx8club for years now so I'm beyond disappointed. It will be nice when it's here though...some day.

 

well if they say that it "will roll out on monday" on the 14th [which is a wednesday] its pretty much implied that it will be the following monday. Robb even stated that it was supposed to roll out on monday but they ran into some unexpected difficulties.

 

That's kinda weird.

 

hey everyone, no need to abandon hope. we have had some other issues arise on some other sites, which has completely set us behind. We still hope to launch this week. I will post back with updates, I appreciate your enthusiasm, and I'm looking forward to bringing good news!

 

Rob, I see the same kind of post on another site I frequent, DBSTalk. Everyone is waiting and anticipating new HD channels to come up on their satellite service. If a soft deadline is missed, everyone starts talking about how the world is coming to an end.

this just seems like very bad planning in regards to announcing. They said it would be here almost a month ago and still nothing. Must not have been very realistic. I hope it's smart enough to read you have a mobile device and redirect e-mail links to the mobile version of the thread. If they are making it a smart service, it will be worth the wait.

I'd ask for an update, but I don't think you guys should say anything else until it's enabled and working to avoid getting any further hopes up!

 

It's been longer than a month. This was from April 14th. I'm not in any real hurry to see it, but i'm not holding my breath. Re-inventing the wheel takes time.

I'm sure the mobile site will be nice when it is finished. We just need to be patient. As much as I was hoping for tapatalk, I'm very interested to see the mobile site.

 

i guess, but they never should have said that they were going to release it monday. and then say that theyre hoping to release it this week, then the week after "this week". all it does is bring false hope. now it just doesnt seem like they have their priorities in order. i mean sure, they updated the FS section, but if you say your going to release something that has been wanted you should at least give a REALISTIC time schedule. every week its been the same excuse. if they went with tapatalk, they wouldnt need to do anything complicated to release something.

 

I wouldn't call it priorities really b/c we can't say what those are. I'm frustrated like everyone else, but also have to remember this is a free forum. My only judgement is that they can install tapatalk so easy, but refuse to b/c they are doing this. I don't get the logic here myself. Why not both? So far that question has been totally ignored, which is why I think that there's not a good reason or the reason is simply someone's ego on doing the mobile site too. Anyways, can analyze that stuff all day. I love this community and site.....this is my thread to vent frustration I guess

 

I hear what your saying rotarykillz. I love the forum, and i spend most of my down time at work here. I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me, so I haven't voiced my speculations about the mobile site and the anti-tapatalk. I don't do a whole lot of browsing from my phone, but when i do, I just want something quick, easy and right to the point. I'm not sure a mobile site can do that, but I'm willing to give it a chance. It's not life or death, but it would be nice to have them just say it's here.

 

We rolled out the mobile set up on our first test site yesterday. It's finally almost ready.

we keep hearing out monday, this week next week.... yet ... no updates, nothing.

 

Sorry guys. To be perfectly honest, the last 2 weeks have been spent making some emergency changes to every site in our network. With 90+ sites, this is time consuming. None of us predicted this, otherwise it wouldn't be an emergency.

I hope to present you with progress on the mobile site sometime next week. We hope to complete the changes to our network by Monday.

Just curious.. I installed Tapatalk on my Android today, not knowing about this thread.

I saw RX8Club in the listing and it loads up just fine... however it appears to be set to not allow users to login via that app. (I get credential errors saying admin has disabled or i put in the wrong login/pass).

Just wondering if I should bother using Tapatalk or if what I'm seeing was remnants of something which will die a horrible forum death?

 

i dont know exactly what you were looking at but i could not find rx8club on tapatalk. the one you were talking about must have been "rx8 club Australia" a totally different forum.
