25 Character Limit
Thought I'd give you mods another thread to close and ignore. This limit is so freaking obnoxious. I've typed out sentences only to get the stupid message to add more content. Fine, have a limit, but make it something reasonable like 10 characters. Even then it's still annoying when you want to tell someone they have a PM or answer a simple question, but it would be a hell of a lot better than having full sentences denied...

My last thread on this got closed but I must admit that my feelings on this limit still have not changed.
10 characters would probably make more sense. Good suggestion Ike.

If the problem is post whoring, then why not get rid of the post counts? I've mentioned that a long time ago and it was ignored.
Either way.... in before the lock!

So the same 10 people don't reply every thread with ( pie or good job or crossfire )
Which is very evident form the posts on this thread.

Actually, if you had a clue you would realize that all they're doing is showing that it's still easy to do. My point is that when you actually type out a helpful post this 25 character limit just makes things a pain in the ***. Sure, some people take the sjort repetitive posts to a new level, but at the same time this is a community and is supposed to be fun. I still get a good chuckle from Crossfire because I know how it started.
Go back and look through your posts, plenty of them would not be allowed now with the new rule. After you're done with that try to figure out why you're such an angry little man with no sense of humor. In fact, since this is a suggestion forum, I suggest you get the word fun removed from your user name and that you be required to remove the stick from your bum. It's simple enough for mods to send a warning to the people that spam the same one or two word posts regularly without making things a pain for every member on the forum.

The real problem is that it's not stopping anything. All it's doing is causing users to pad their responses with useless text. If anything it's going to cause more bandwidth and storage to be used. Sure it might only be a small bit, but I just don't see a single benefit to it. It absolutely doesn't stop spammers.

I get a slight buffer with my "-Steakboy" at the end of all my posts, but it only reduces it by 9 chars. I haven't really encountered it much, but it happened once today. I extended my post, but I feel like it was really worthless. It's quite annoying in the lounge. Someone will post a funny pic or something and all I want to say is "haha!" I can't, even with my classic "-Steakboy" finish.
Really, all I wanna know is are we hurting for bandwidth all that much that we need to do this?
