i don't see why it wouldn't fit. it's just that the ms cai came out around the same time as the 2006 cars (i think).

well the aem is somewhat similiar to the mazdaspeed and the intake for the 04-05 rx8 AEM makes WON'T fit an 06... so I would write them an e-mail to find out for sure.

the aem intake was also out quite a while before the 2006 rx8s. it's just has not been updated/tested to see if it fits/works the same as the older models. i'm pretty sure it'd fit.

I know 1 thing for sure. The 06 oil line doesnt vent back to the intake like the 04/05 models do. Maybe thats why they don't fit on a 06. I'm sure you could just plug that hole with a bolt and put a breather filter over it to hide the bolt or something along that line. Besides that I dont know what else could of changed.

Good point Trekk.

The oil breather line is directed further up the intake port.

If you cap the oil breather line on the CAI, it should work fine. (Based on shape and movement of the oil breather line higher in the intake port.)
