Yes, it's for both provided you purchased the car in the allotted timeframe.

 

Sure, the buyback applies equally, since they revised the HP ratings on both versions.

Why would you be so annoyed? Do you intend to sell it back to Mazda? Oh, wait - I get it, you would like to receive the same $500 and free service offer - nothing wrong with that! You should receive the same deal.

I have a question for anyone who has info on the buyback. Will it be applied to those who have not yet taken delivery of their car? I placed my order in March (still waiting arrrgh!) and expect to get it in the next month but dealer's been feeding me BS since day 1. So should I expect to get the $500 off at time of purchase, will it be mailed to me later or do I even get it at all??

 

Not too worry, I remember reading here saying that the policy applies to all 8's Ordered or Purchased before August 26th.
