No Beep?

Recently I have noticed that my rx-8 doesn't beep when it goes to redline. It did when I bought the vehicle but it seems like it has stopped since then. I have rolled up the windows and turned off my ac and stereo and redlined it in 1st 2nd and 3rd but still no beep... I have actually hit fuel cut in 1st a couple times and still no beep. I mean it's really nothing I miss but was wondering if it leads to problems or if there is a big problem?

It's very faint. Sometimes I don't hear it at all even though I know when to expect it. If it's not beeping at all then should be an easy fix and covered under warranty.

Mine is loud and I cannot miss it. Maybe it is on a tone that you are def to. That is a possibility.

I think it depends upon how hard you are accelerating.

My experience is... if it's not hard enough it won't beep if it is it beeps.

Ah.. my wife tells me the same thing. I think that's proof right there.

I noticed this too when i first took it up to redline. If the windows/sunroof are down, you'll find it almost impossible to hear. You pretty much have to have all windows up, and dead silence in the cockpit. It's there, it's just not near as loud as i'd hoped either.

I can't hear my beeper if I have my windows completely open going 70 mph+ or so. Otherwise, I can always hear my beeper, even with loud music and open windows on the street.
